It's another third day, the 15th day to be specific, and everyone knows what that means: it's time for a game! Of course, he's still refusing to restart Ambidex Rounds, so today, it's going to be another little event (another 'Calhoun's Hour', as he's proudly calling it), but what is going to happen today? Well, the video game last week was fun and all, but man, was it ever tiring to set that up. This time, he wants to do something that lets him a bit more laid back, sit back on his beach chair with a nice martini glass while everyone works. So, he'll go and hand everyone a simple sheet of paper. Once taking a good look at it, it'll be clear that this is a Bingo sheet! ... Well, it's missing a bunch of squares and it's only 3x3m, but it's easier to just call it a Bingo card. It's pretty self-explanatory too. Just fill out as many squares as possible on the sheet and you’ll get coins! Some squares get you more coins than others, as they can see that kissing someone nets you five coins, but singing or dancing only gets you two. If you fill out a line, you get a bonus of five coins. You can only get this bonus a maximum of three times, so only three lines count, so you can only get an extra 15 coins. If you fill out the whole card? Well, you get ten extra coins, plus a memory! That means, overall, you can earn 62 coins and a trip down memory lane if you manage to fill out every space. It’s not that hard either, some of these are so easy that he’s practically giving the coins to you. Also, it’s probably dumb to mention but some of you really are that dumb, so he’s going to have to mention that he has a strict ‘no cheating’ rule for this! You really have to do what the space says, instead of pretending that you did it then cross it off. As a reminder, he has cameras everywhere so he knows if you’re lying. Oh, and he almost forgot. You can only do up to three activities per person, so no cheating by doing all nine things with a single BFF. Now, with that all the way, get to it! BASIC INFO ✖ MINGLE ✖ LET'S PLAY BINGO ✖ TURN-IN

Apropos of nothing, Heiji came charging towards Jake, aiming his right fist directly at his opponent's jaw.

"Don't think I don't know who set off that trap, moron! Next time, why don't ya use that big fat head of yours to think up somethin' other than the fastest way to get us all killed!"

WELL THAT CAME OUT OF NOWHERE, kind of, sort of, Jake probably knew this was going to happen, but this still caught him off guard.

He winced, his head turned, and he lifted a hand, pressing it against his lips, just to check how they are. Yup, slight bleeding, but Jake didn't seem too fazed by it.

"Took you long enough to figure it out. There must be a medal for you at the 'Slow as Hell' academy."

"Wasn't gonna say nothing since Hershel dummied up about it," said Heiji, crossing his arms.

"Plus, I figured you might have a crisis of conscience and fess up on your own instead of lettin' him share the blame. That guy's really in your corner, y'know. I dunno why, but he believes in you more than anyone else."

Just wiping his mouth on his fingerless gloves, while he was talking.

"Tell me about it. Wouldn't surprise me if someone stabbed him in the back and he'll be fine with it."

Which was concerning to Jake because... Hershel, no.

"Ya got that right," said Heiji. "But I'm glad you weren't the one ended up doing it. That would've torn him up pretty bad."

He paused for a moment. "So what's this rumor about Ema shanking you for a bag of snacks?"

I'm pretty surprised. I thought for sure an oaf like you would need somebody to read out the card for you. Y'know, with it not having pictures and all.

And I'm surprised that you've managed to take a shower on your own the other day. I thought pompous asses like you needed a butler help you with everything.

[ He'll get to insulting your hair soon too, don't you worry. ]

[So maybe a weird death game where they were denied the most basic necessities like showers and haircare wasn't the best place to judge, but Zelos was pretty sure that even before getting stuck here, Jake had never seen the inside of a shower in his life.]

"Luckily" for me, I don't have to worry about having to deal with greasy hair like you, but looking at it now, it seems more like you're wearing a wig than anything else.

[Oh no Jake didn't. Zelos almost jumps on him, but stops himself. He did need that punch spot on his card filled in, but violence wouldn't solve anything. Yet.]

At least you can replace bad hair. [WHICH HE WOULD NEVER NEED TO DO BECAUSE HIS HAIR WAS PERFECT.] With a face like that though, man, I'm sorry.

A dare was a dare. Heiji marched over to Jake, gave him a cursory, "Sorry about this, fella," and then gave him a smooooch right on the lips. He pulled back as soon as the deed was done, wiping his mouth and coughing dramatically.

"Blech, that was even worse than I thought."

There were a lot of things Jake should have been prepared for. For example, that punch Heiji threw earlier, that Hershel probably would have gotten punched by someone and still forgive them, that no one would fit into his clothes, that no one could finish the 'playing with hair' square, but this was not something he expected.

So, for Heiji's bravery?

One giant punch coming to your face. Jake didn't care where he hit, jaw, cheek, eye, nose, whatever, just hitting something and hoping he could at least get two squares (punch and blood) in one go.

One thing Heiji had going for him was his reflexes, which were actually pretty sharp. So while he didn't take the punch square in the face, Jake did end up clipping him. Heiji bit his tongue in the process, too -- ow.

He spat out a small gob of blood and rubbed the side of his jaw. "Wow, remind me never to play spin the bottle with you around."

Well, there was two squares off his list, so maybe it was worth it after all (but also the kiss, but ugh). Kind of...

"Yeah, keep me out of your shit, unless you want more than just a punch."

Wiping his mouth because ugh.
