The Cornered Detective [closed]
After a day or two of insisting to Hershel that Snake was stupid and his face was stupid and Heiji didn't care about him anyway, SO THERE, Heiji... went looking for Snake.
In fact, now that he'd had some time to cool down, his anger (which had always been quick to come and go) had dissipated, leaving Heiji mostly with the unhappy feeling that he missed having Snake around. Maybe. A little.

Then he was practically glaring a hole in the grass about three feet to Snake's right side, speaking with sudden ferocity. "The truth is, I hated it when ya walked away from me! I ain't good at wagging my tail, waiting for someone to come back!"

Well, taking the blame for Hershel was just one of several options I that I thought might be a result of our talk. I didn't know if that would be the result but it could be an option and I'd need to weigh out my options carefully. *He'd had quite a bit of time to think of multiple scenarios after being stuck in the AB room.*
I appreciate you not wanting me to be hurt. I think...I think I need to consider that more in future decision making.

"I thought maybe we could learn somethin' about this place by comparing notes. Any tiny bit of information might make a difference. Whether there are other people here, whether there are other experiments goin' on in the same facility... it's not trivial. It matters."

He fell silent for a little while. "I trust you with my life," he said finally. Then he shoved something in Snake's hand. "Here, I wrote something for you. You should read it later."
It was a small piece of paper with a short message on it in Braille. Curious...

*He'd have to really work at trying to think more at how things could really affect Heiji versus being angry at him for not acting like Snake. He'd have to really and truly change how he thought if he was going to keep Heiji by his side. The thought of Heiji not being there...*
Heiji...*Snake took the paper.* Can I read it now or would you rather I read it later?

Heiji stood there, hands shoved in his pockets, not sure what else to say now that he'd already told Snake how he felt.
...He hadn't really thought this all the way through.

Heiji...now that we've properly made up, I think we should try to do something that would reaffirm our trust in each other. I do have an idea for that, if you're interested. *He really hoped Heiji was. It would be the perfect kind of activity, something Heiji had shown interest in the past.*

He glanced up at Snake, fixing him with a curious look for the first time since they'd started talking. "What is it?"

"Okay, but... I wanna take off your tie." The words were out of his mouth before he even knew what he was saying, good job Snake.

Mystery... solved?

Instead, his gaze slid downward as Snake unbuttoned his shirt. It was okay to take a nice, long look this time, right...?
That icon is perfect
So...did you want me to lay on my stomach for this or did you want me to stay seated?
snake's are cute...
Besides, it seemed like Snake had a lot of built-up tension in his muscles...

He began kneading at the back of Snake's neck and shoulders first, working his way over to the left shoulder as his fingers warmed in contact with Snake's skin. "Then you were lucky. At least you didn't try to punch it, like Alfendi."
no subject
I heard it had a lot of teeth. With my luck it would have eaten my hand.

"I'm glad you're okay," he said quietly. Then he began again, gentle but firm.
no subject
Now I think I'm a lot more okay.

With that done, Heiji swung his right leg over Snake, straddling his hips as he began to work at Snake's back. He kept up a firm, steady pressure as he did so, pausing only briefly to run the tips of his fingers over the line of Snake's spine.
"Your skin's so smooth..."
no subject
I'm glad you enjoy admiring me. You have about forever to keep doing what you're doing.
no subject
Not that... he was going to. He pressed down with his hands, massaging the tension slowly out of Snake's body. And then he cast about for something to talk about. "So, um... how's sleeping in the dorms?"
no subject
There's a thought. *He finally said, with a teasing note to his voice.*
*Oh good, a safe topic of conversation!* It's quite nice in there, actually. Real pillows and covers. It's a room full of beds and I stored all my things underneath the one I claimed as mine.

Heiji was suddenly and acutely aware that he was in a rather uncompromising position. But it wasn't as though they had a bed or a table for Snake to lie on, and this gave Heiji the leverage he needed, so. Probably this was okay?
"O-oh. That's too bad; I was hopin' there'd be different rooms." Of course, leave it to Calhoun to put them all in one place.

His hand slipped around Snake's waist, then over his rear. "I should... check on the others. See ya later!" And then suddenly, he was headed in the other direction, out of the garden.
Had that been a... stealth grope? Not exactly; Heiji had slipped two small items into Snake's back pocket that on further inspection would reveal themselves to be a pair of wrapped condoms.
Happy Valentine's Day, Snake.
