CALHOUN HOUR - CHOICE

It has been two and a half days since the end of the virus takeover. The power, lights, and heating has been turned back on. All the newer areas have been sealed, BP is once again required in certain rooms, and it appears that everything is returning back to normal.

Asides from Calhoun.

Whether characters have chosen to give pieces of Calhoun to Zero, to hold onto them, or to destroy them, it does not matter. There has been no indications as to when he would ever be back, so there has been a robotic mouse void within the warehouse. Zero has refused to leave any information as to the status of rebuilding Calhoun, but they have left this one message for everyone shortly after the power restoration:

"While you may be left alone to your devices, do not trick yourselves into thinking that there is a way out of here, or that you can do as you please. I will always be watching."

It has been two days since Zero has left these parting words before entirely disappearing. When attempting to call for them, everyone will only be responded with silence. It's clear that they're still watching over the facility though, as any kind of rule breaking or suspicious activities would automatically be rewarded with an injection of Soporil β. True to their word, Zero is somehow monitoring the behaviors without saying a single word.

It is not until the morning of Day 72 does everyone hear again from them again, through the speakers throughout the warehouse.

"Good morning, Subjects. Today, you will be partaking in another experiment of mine. It has come to my knowledge that my assistant has been throwing these so-called "Calhoun Hours" every three days to keep everyone stimulated between his rooms. Don't assume that I will do anything similar of the sort. This activity has far more care and thought put into it than this camping nonsense, so let us begin."

"The rules are simple: every test subject will be paired up and placed against each other. The collective will then have to vote for one of the pair. The one with the fewest amount of votes will be subjective to a punishment of my choice. The one with the most amount of votes will continue their dull experimental lives until the next set of events."

"Any petty attempts of rebellion will be met with serious repercussions, so I would suggest that you rethink any sort of plans."

"Now, best of luck, Subjects. We will talk again soon."

Thankfully I did, Alfendi's in no condition for any of the nonsense happening. [Won the lottery, really. What a treat. He also sighs because he knows his answer to the next question is going to sound suspicious.]

Nothing? As far as I can tell at least. I'm sure there will be something soon enough but I haven't the slightest clue what it is. Zero certainly didn't say, even when I asked.

[ Jake turns his head in the direction he thinks Hershel is, based off listening to the loser, and just gives the biggest 'I don't believe you' look. ]

"Nothing".

[ Yes, he heard you say that there's probably going to be something later but "nothing". Don't you be lying to him. ]

Don't give me that face. [See, totally called it.]

I'm not hiding it, if that's what you think. I really haven't the slightest clue. Whatever it is I'm sure I'll know soon enough.

[ Still making that face because you're full of bullshit, Hershel, no way you didn't get hurt. ]

[ He holds out a hand. You fucking bet he's going to pat Hershel down just in case, because you're not going to full a fucking fast one on him. ]

[He's an angel who would never lie about this, how dare you. He sighs in the most put out way possible but does as he's told.]

You can ask someone when they see me you know, they'll say the same.

[ With Hershel's arm in his hand, he brings his other hand to start patting down on it. From there, he makes his way up to Hershel's shoulders, his other arm, and then his sides. He makes sure to pat lightly, in case there actually is an injury somewhere. Once he's done with that, he pulls his hands back. ]

Don't know. You might have already used your British magic to get them to cover for you. [ Is it a good thing that he's joking right now, like he's not blinded?? ] Looks like you're telling the truth, though.

[Hershel sighs but allows it, better than having Jake accuse him of hiding shit.] Really, you call me fussy. Also I sincerely doubt they'd help me on that matter. [Bunch of turncoats, really.]

Of course I am. Whatever the case, I assume Zero's having quite the laugh over it.

Better stay on your toes. Somehow got the feeling that Zero's not as big as a softie, so he might have something up his sleeves. [ Hope Jake's not making you paranoid... ] Let me know if something feels off.

[ Playing doctor seemed to be Jake's thing around here... ]

This isn't the first time I've been put in the dark, you know. Had to deal with getting around without any light in that maze in the basement.

[he'll look at the camera like he's in the office whenever jake speaks.]

Barely. [ both times he was practically blind so eh, same thing. ] Tear gas. It should wear off after a few hours, unless Zero's got something up his sleeve. Wouldn't be surprised if he does, so guess we'll see what's the damage later.

[does a little interview where he likens Jake to anything with a head made of solid concrete.]

[ he shifts ] A little, but it's fine. You should find the others and motherhen over them instead, if they're as unlucky as me.

[you make fun of his car and his hat, it's fair game.]

[ his car and hat are literally garbage, but especially the car. he is going to trash (hehe) it one day. ]

[ Jake slightly tenses up when Hershel pats his shoulder, but then relaxes. ] Lockers, the ones closest to the door. Just bring everything.

[ Since he's probably going to make the Garden his home now and/or carry everything on him now. Carry all his clothes and med supplies and whatnot... ]

[he nods, dusting himself off a bit.] Alright, give me a few moments.

[couldn't leave Jake without his stuff long, though he probably had a few adventures on his way. eventually he'll be back, making his footsteps purposely loud as he did and calling as he approached.] Here we are, sorry for the delay, everyone's mulling about and all. Looks like no one got it worst than you did, at least.

[ Jake hasn't really moved from his spot since Hershel has left. He doesn't have anywhere to go, so thank you for grabbing his things. He should say that out loud, but he doesn't. Instead, he just feels around for his stuff to find his other pair of clothes. Hello, China outfit, you and your suspenders are going on. ]

[Precious suspenders, what a loser he is. Hershel takes a seat.] Snake's shoulder was dislocated, Heiji is shocked anytime he speaks and I'm not really sure what's going on with Sasuke, he seems quite tired. [What a bunch they are.] Could be worse, but it could be better.
