ambidex voting #1
![]() After escaping your rooms, talking with others, and swiping your Ambidex Room cards, Calhoun appears to explain how the Ambidex Voting works: You have 45 minutes to place in your vote, after the first Ambidex Room opens. PAIRs go together in one room, while SOLOs go into another room. Why are you all separated? Well, that's because you'll now be going up against each other. You'll be competing against whoever you paired up with to go through the Chromatic Doors. The Red SOLO will face the Red PAIRs, the Blue SOLO will face the Blue PAIRs, and the Green SOLO will face the Green PAIRs. Hope you've made a good impression on your opponents because this next bit is crucial: You will have to either Ally with them, or Betray them. If both sides pick Ally, great, you all gain 2BP, and you're best friends. If both sides pick Betray, then there's some serious problems in your "friendship", and no one gets any BP. Now, what happens if someone picks Ally and the others pick Betray? That's when it gets interesting. The one who picked Ally will lose 2BP, but the ones who picked Betray will gain 3BP. Sure, you've had to backstab your partner, but you want to get out of here faster, right? It's worth it in the long run, and besides, who knows if they'll even pick Ally? They might pick Betray on you, so this is just self-defence. Plus, PAIRs share the same destiny and BP increase/decrease, so even more reason to be extra careful. You all better think long and hard before picking something as dumb as Ally. Oops, did he call it dumb? Well, he's not suppose to be all opinionated, but it is, sorry. But anyway, happy voting! Calhoun will see all of you later with the results. |
Re: RESULTS + REACTIONS
And he'd go over and elbow Zelos a little for good measure, too. "I wasn't too sure about ya at first, but you're an okay guy, after all!"

[He didn't honestly care for his teammates one way or another (that room had been waaaay too much of a sausage fest for his tastes), but it felt weird being thanked. He couldn't help but get a little bit flustered.]
Yeah yeah, you guys are pretty alright, too.

"Gotta admit, I kinda expected more people to pick Betray. It ain't easy to trust each other with some creep threatening lethal injections." He looked thoughtful. "Course, we're gonna have to play an awful lot of rounds to get to 63. I'd rather find some other way out."

[That was something that Zelos was actually worried about. Even if it did make his day to see the little vermin throwing a temper tantrum, he doubted outsmarting Calhoun meant much. Zero was going to be their real enemy here, and he probably wasn't too happy about all of them picking Ally (or worse, he was, and it was a part of his plan). He had enough control over the situation that he could easily shake things up, and Zelos was afraid to see when he did.]

"I got a lot of questions for this Zero guy, and I ain't the only one. Bet the cops aren't going to be too impressed with his sicko game, either."

He managed to nab all of us, too. You'd think the cops would be quicker on solving a missing persons with nine people.
[Except, of course, they all came from different areas. Which would probably be the smarter thing to do, since it'd take awhile for the cops to realize the disappearances were related.]

Of course, neither the victims nor the mastermind in this case really fit the typical pattern of human trafficking crime. But it made a lot more sense for Zero to be making use of some existing criminal network than gallivanting over the world, stuffing people in an unmarked van.

"It would make sense, in a way. None of us recall where we came from but it probably wouldn't be the same town, at the very least. If we're from different countries, then it adds another layer of complexity."
