A M B I D E X  V O T I N G After escaping your rooms, talking with others, swiping your Ambidex Room cards, and entering, Calhoun appears on the screen to very briefly explain how the AB Voting works (45 minutes to either choose to Ally or Betray, you gain/lose points depending on what your opponent chooses), but to also introduce this round's prizes. That's right, this round has a whole new set of prizes! They're a bit different from the last round, so listen carefully! For anyone who chooses Betray, they will be getting a standard first aid kit and a can of food. Calhoun noticed that some of you managed to hurt themselves in the puzzle rooms, so he highly encourages you to take advantage of this one-time opportunity for free medical supplies! For anyone who chooses Betray and their opponent chooses Ally, you will get a memory regain instead of a can of food! After all, you'll have access to the cafeteria so it won't really be necessary. Unless your name is Clive Dove. For anyone who chooses Ally, well, if your opponent chooses Ally as well, not only will all of your BP increase, you'll even get a gold star of friendship! Doesn't that sound wonderful? If you're the poor sap that chose Ally and got stabbed in the back, well, sorry, you only lose BP, but maybe Calhoun will have something for you. Jake just looked down at Heiji's hand, then back up. He was assuming that it was for a handshake, but just going to refuse that. Jake didn't really do handshakes, especially with that last comment.

"What the hell are you even talking about?"

Heiji withdrew his hand. Your secret was his secret, Jake. "Don't worry about it; just something me and Hershel were talkin' about in the elevator. Anyway, thanks."

There was no secret, hmph, but all right, letting that go and nodding at his thanks.

"About time we can eat something besides canned food."

"Don't forget stale bread!"

Heiji crossed his arms, thinking. "Now that the rest of us have enough BP to use the cafeteria, that just leaves Clive. But if Hershel handed over his canned food, Clive ought to have enough to get by, too. Either way, it means less scrambling for something to eat. Then again, I bet they're gonna keep coming up with incentives to get people to vote Betray..."

He looked up, as if remembering something. "Hey, you got a memory back, right? What was it like? Hershel said they used some kinda lab equipment on him."

"They did the same thing, something with these pods. Like hell if I know how it worked, though."

It was pretty weird, yeah, he couldn't really believe that it was real. It seemed fictional more than anything. Jake couldn't say any more about it.

Hmm. Like Hershel, it seemed like Jake's account was oddly bereft of details. Was that part of the procedure, too?

"Well, where'd they do it? Did they strap ya down, or could you see anything useful? Like an instrument panel, or out any windows."
