A M B I D E X  V O T I N G After escaping your rooms, talking with others, swiping your Ambidex Room cards, and entering, Calhoun appears on the screen to very briefly explain how the AB Voting works (45 minutes to either choose to Ally or Betray, you gain/lose points depending on what your opponent chooses), but to also introduce this round's prizes. That's right, this round has a whole new set of prizes! They're a bit different from the last round, so listen carefully! For anyone who chooses Betray, they will be getting a standard first aid kit and a can of food. Calhoun noticed that some of you managed to hurt themselves in the puzzle rooms, so he highly encourages you to take advantage of this one-time opportunity for free medical supplies! For anyone who chooses Betray and their opponent chooses Ally, you will get a memory regain instead of a can of food! After all, you'll have access to the cafeteria so it won't really be necessary. Unless your name is Clive Dove. For anyone who chooses Ally, well, if your opponent chooses Ally as well, not only will all of your BP increase, you'll even get a gold star of friendship! Doesn't that sound wonderful? If you're the poor sap that chose Ally and got stabbed in the back, well, sorry, you only lose BP, but maybe Calhoun will have something for you. He likes all of his test subjects, so he won't forget anyone here. But anyway, happy voting! Calhoun will see all of you later with the results. [ Once everyone has entered their votes and waited out the 45 minutes, the Ambidex Room's doors will open, allowing everyone to finally exit. Once doing so, they will notice that Calhoun is standing near the screen, waving his arms around as usual. ]

Hurry up, it's time for the results!

[ Once arriving closer, the screen turns on and out pops the results: ]

[ If Calhoun could pout, he would be right now. He stands there, arms folded. ]

How boringggg, you guys aren't that fun at all.

[ Shaking his head. ]

But at least it looks everyone can finally get off eating can food! Well, at least almost everyone.

[ Sucks to be Clive right now. ]

[Ha ha. Thankfully Clive isn't around to hear that remark, but sometime later after his hands are clean and he retrieved his bag and blazer from Zelos, he approaches Calhoun.]

So what's this "gold star of friendship" you mentioned earlier?

Heiji looked surprised but happy, despite the knife still sticking out of his leg. He limped over at once to give Hershel one of those overly exuberant shounen side-hugs. "Hey, will ya look at that? Your deduction was right on the mark! I thought we were gonna be in it for sure!"

And of course he had to go over and visit Jake, as well. He stuck out a hand. "Sorry, fella. I had you figured wrong. Still not sure I understand your reasoning from last round, but you ain't all bad. Take care of that cut, yeah? I was thinking it might be good for both sides to go with Betray this time just to pick up some medical supplies, but with any luck, it'll heal up on its own."

He lowered his voice a little. "Oh, and don't let it get ya too down -- helpin' a lady's what being a gentleman's all about."

Hershel was a little shocked but it passed fairly quickly, falling to a weirdly sunny smile given the face he had blood all over his arm and looked kind of like shit from everything that happened in that clusterfuck of a room.

When Heiji gives him a patented shounen side hug he can't help a small, amused exhale before he held a hand up to Heiji. "Ah, Heiji, you should be more careful! Your leg, try not to move around so much..." Said the mayor of beautiful Motherhen City, USA.

Then he smiled again. "I um, I guess I really was right. Jake stayed true to his word, we have enough BP to access food." He looked so happy ok, this was much better than last round. "Thank you again, for taking this risk."

...Well, she has an idea, but that doesn't mean she's not going to comment on it.

"Um, you know you can take that thing out, right?"

Jake just looked down at Heiji's hand, then back up. He was assuming that it was for a handshake, but just going to refuse that. Jake didn't really do handshakes, especially with that last comment.

"What the hell are you even talking about?"

*He'd been busy checking in on Clive and wandering around before seeing how Heiji was doing. He cants his head very slightly because there's something wrong with Heiji's footsteps.* Heiji? Are you all right?

[As soon as the door to his AB Room opens itself up again, Clive... dashes right the fuck out of the room and to the bathroom without even waiting for the results to come up. Anyone who happens to catch a glimpse of his back on his way out will notice that his blazer and his bag of food and water are missing. What the fuck, Clive.

He immediately turns the bathroom sink on and shoves his filthy confinement room toilet hands under the water, letting them soak for a bit before covering them in soap and scrubbing them vigorously. And because Clive is looking down at his hands, he sees the 3 on his bracelet change to a 5 and lets out a sigh of relief. Thank fucking god he isn't down to 1 BP right now.

Clive will come back out at some point to check everyone else's results and claim his friendship star (and get his shit back from Zelos if he doesn't come into the bathroom), but it's going to be a pretty long while before he feels comfortable moving from this sink.]

[Hershel kind of needed to, you know, take care of the fact he was stabbed in the arm because Jake's the truest super star there's ever been, so he decided to make his way over to the bathroom to at least get a better look at the damage in the mirror. Despite being in a lot of pain because fuck Zero, seriously, he was incredibly happy. His sort of gamble paid off, Jake had kept his word, he could now get access to food that wasn't beans and no one was betrayed this round.

He's still smiling when he walks into the bathroom, though that smile drops into a surprised expression when he realizes who's standing there, dealing with the horror of poop hands.

Hershel stares for a beat, blinks, realizes that Clive hated his guts, told him to leave Clive alone and probably hated them more now that he and Jake were riding high with ten BP while he was stuck at half of that and had apparently been the toilet guy.]

Oh, ah, sorry, I'll just- [He starts hastily, turning a bit too clumsily and fast because nerves plus being stabbed were a killer combination, and manages to bang his head right into the door frame. He stumbles back, holding his nose and letting out a muffled 'ow.']

[Maybe Clive was pretending he didn't exist and saw none of that, right? Right. No, he was an idiot and Clive was going to probably punch him or something.]

Heiji limped on over to the bathroom, still sporting the short knife that had been jabbed into his thigh. He'd been able to come out of the room with a few spoils in hand, and now he didn't have to worry so much about making his food last, but OW.

"Confinement room, huh?" he said, leaning heavily against the wall. He allowed himself to slide down until he was seated on the floor. "Wonder if Zero's gettin' a kick out of making us his personal maid service."

*He's well aware of what happened to Clive so he just waits until he hears him walking by. He's getting better at figuring out who is who by the sound of footsteps.* Thank you, Clive.

[Guess who's considerably happier than he was last round? This guy. No betrays, no drama besides the fact Clive's life continues to be the worst, things were finally looking up!

That said his upper right arm had been stabbed by a doll's very sharp, very angry knife and now his tie, the makeshift bandaging, and his sleeve were pretty bloodsoaked. He looks a little pale because yeah this hurts a lot and he lost a bit of blood, not too much thankfully. A first aid kit, yeah that would have been nice.

He's gonna sway on his feet a bit, looking weirdly happy for an injured guy. Jake, if you're around he's going to actually be walking up to you because he had some stuff to say and also you need that arm of yours looked after. Ema, if you're around he's probably going to walk over to you too because you're his bro, I'm sorry. Everyone else... he'd probably go see how you're doing too actually so feel free to assume he is, otherwise he's going to be spacing out a bit so have at.]

[ Jake will have to admit that he's relieved to see 'Ally' up on the board, under Heiji and Hershel's names. He was taking a huge gamble not choosing Betray, after Calhoun announced the rewards (a med kit, even), but by now, he knew Hershel decently well. That kid would choose Ally no matter what, so he took a chance for that and it turned out pretty nicely. ]

[ Still not going to join the group with everyone else, though, just in the back looking at the results and trying not to move his arm too much because hahahaha there's a fucking knife stuck in his lower arm. He will have to go to the washroom for that... JAKE IS GOOD AT SOLVING PUZZLES.... ]
