ambidex voting #3
![]() After escaping your rooms, talking with others, swiping your Ambidex Room cards, and entering, Calhoun appears on the screen to very briefly explain how the AB Voting works (45 minutes to either choose to Ally or Betray, you gain/lose points depending on what your opponent chooses), but to also introduce this round's prizes. That's right, this round has a whole new set of prizes! They're a bit different from the last round, so listen carefully! For anyone who chooses Betray, they will be getting a standard first aid kit and a can of food. Calhoun noticed that some of you managed to hurt themselves in the puzzle rooms, so he highly encourages you to take advantage of this one-time opportunity for free medical supplies! For anyone who chooses Betray and their opponent chooses Ally, you will get a memory regain instead of a can of food! After all, you'll have access to the cafeteria so it won't really be necessary. For anyone who chooses Ally, well, if your opponent chooses Ally as well, not only will all of your BP increase, you'll even get a gold star of friendship! Doesn't that sound wonderful? If you're the poor sap that chose Ally and got stabbed in the back, well, sorry, you only lose BP, but maybe Calhoun will have something for you. He likes all of his test subjects, so he won't forget anyone here. But anyway, happy voting! Calhoun will see all of you later with the results. |

Maybe. Would explain a hell of a lot of things, knowing how to do this, the buzzcut, gun holster, but following orders blindly? Doesn't sound like my kind of thing.
[ Going to pull out the knife in one quick motion now, while talking, hoping that should do the trick. He's going to toss the knife in the sink, letting the water wash it, while he takes off Hershel's tie off his arm. Better start taking off that shirt real fast, so he can work. ]

[So yeah that hurt a bit more than bandaid pulling. He can't help small cry at that, hand going automatically for his now bleeding cut but he remembers what he's supposed to do and quickly- and sloppily- takes off his shirt completely. Normally he'd care more about not staining it but honestly wow he was bleeding a lot more now that it was unplugged this was freaking him out a bit.]
[He takes a breath, pointedly trying to calm down and not touch it at all.] J-just like a bandaid... [Hey, might as well joke because fuck this situation.]

Sounds at least better than being an undercover cop, but either one sounds pretty shitty if you ask me. Not big on randomly helping people, if you didn't know already.
[ Though he's helping Hershel right now, that's a different story, okay, but taking the tie from earlier and wrapping it tightly above the wound, trying to lessen the blood flow. Then, he's going to pull out the torn bedsheets from his jacket pockets, using one to clean the wound, after holding it under the running tap for a bit. He'll be as careful as possible... ]
More like treating a paper cut now. Those hurt like a bitch, for something so small.
[ If they keep comparing it to something normal, it'll be better, right? Ripping off a bandaid instead of pulling out a knife, it's just a paper cut instead of a stab wound... ]

Maybe undercover cops are paid well? [Who the hell knew, right?] Besides, I hate to break it to you, Jake, but you are helping me right now you know.
[Shit, the secret was out. And honestly the weird joking was helping a lot, Hershel seems quite a bit calmer and less shaken than he did at the beginning of this. He was seriously trying to be a cool guy, ok, but that shit's hard.]
Absolutely. Easy to sneak up on you too. [And he pauses for a long moment before adding quietly.] Thank you.

Then maybe. Money is pretty damn important. [ Now that he knows that he was poor as shit in his memory. ] And we're only getting even.
[ Even for SHIT I GOT YOU STABBED IN THE ARM OOPS so let me help you wrap that up. ]
...Don't mention it.

[He shakes his head lightly.] I guess so. The military must be out then, I don't think you make much there. [Even if you seriously looked like such a military guy, Jake.]
[He glances over at his wound again - still didn't look great but it did seem a lot smaller now that he had calmed down and it was getting dealt with. He then glanced again at Jake's arm, frowning a little. He was doing all of this while he had a knife sticking out of him, Hershel couldn't help but feel a bit bad. Once Jake was done he felt like he had an idea of what to do now, at least he'd be able to help more than not at all.]
I guess we won't be on a team next time. [He finally says after a long moment of those thoughts.] It'll be strange to have an entirely new team.

[ Now that the cut is all clean, Jake throws the bloodied sheet in the sink with the knife. He grabs a decently long cloth and begins to wrap it tight around the wound, tying it into a tight knot at the end. It looks like he's now done, just need to take off the tie now. ]
Yeah, sounds like fun, having to figure out if they're going to pick ally or betray all over again.

[Hershel watched him, feeling all the better now that it was covered. When the tie was untied he moved to put his shirt back on, carefully moving his arm through the sleeve. He could worry about trying to clean it later.]
I think everyone's been pretty reasonable, though- [He glances up at Jake.] I know I don't have to tell you this, but be careful with Clive, ok? He's... well, you've seen how unhappy he is.
[and down to BUSINESS] Ok, we should get that out of you now... Do you want to pull the knife out yourself or should I? [He had a feeling Jake would go for doing it himself, he seemed like the type.]

[ Jake will take the tie to wrap around Hershel's arm once he has his shirt back on, just security. Plus, Hershel can look badass having a bloodied tie around his arm. ]
Piece of cake, I can do it on my own.
[ JUST PULLING IT THE FUCK OUT HECK YEAH but no seriously, wincing at that because that hurts... but he'll repeat the same process of taking off Hershel's cut tie off his arm, throwing off his jacket, and rolling up his sleeve. Just need to somehow tie Hershel's tie around his arm again with one hand... ]

[Thanks for the badass tie, dude. He watches this process, still completely unsurprised Jake decided to be all manly and do it himself. He almost winces himself when it starts bleeding- it sure didn't look good. When Jake goes to actually try and tie the tie himself Hershel steps in.]
Here- [He'll gently take that from you and firmly tie it in place before going to steal some of that bedsheet. After drenching it he presses it against Jake's wound, staunching the flow for a second before carefully cleaning the wound, brow furrowed in concentration.]
