After escaping your rooms, talking with others, swiping your Ambidex Room cards, and entering, Calhoun appears on the screen to very briefly explain how the AB Voting works (45 minutes to either choose to Ally or Betray, you gain/lose points depending on what your opponent chooses), but to also introduce this round's prizes.

That's right, this round has a whole new set of prizes! They're a bit different from the last round, so listen carefully!

For anyone who chooses Betray, they will be getting a standard first aid kit and a can of food. Calhoun noticed that some of you managed to hurt themselves in the puzzle rooms, so he highly encourages you to take advantage of this one-time opportunity for free medical supplies!

For anyone who chooses Betray and their opponent chooses Ally, you will get a memory regain instead of a can of food! After all, you'll have access to the cafeteria so it won't really be necessary. ~~Unless your name is Clive Dove.~~

For anyone who chooses Ally, well, if your opponent chooses Ally as well, not only will all of your BP increase, you'll even get a gold star of friendship! Doesn't that sound wonderful?

If you're the poor sap that chose Ally and got stabbed in the back, well, sorry, you only lose BP, but maybe Calhoun will have something for you. He likes all of his test subjects, so he won't forget anyone here.

Right... You mentioned you remembered something.

Yeah, from last round. Calhoun took us to these... pods? And Jake and I both remembered something small. [He shrugs his non-injured arm.] It was very much like a scifi story, the more I think about it.

Ah...

Do you remember how you got there?

[He nods and points to whatever door it was Calhoun took them through, it's a mystery...] Calhoun took me through there, and then to the room with those pods. As far as I can tell it's locked unless Calhoun's the one entering, I haven't really tested it to be sure, though.

What- [Oh, well, she had a point. Hershel gets to his feet at Ema's dragging, trying not to sway around too much like an idiot, before setting course for their destination!]

[A door that was likely completely locked, and he taps it with his foot. He turns to Ema with a small smile.] Any idea how to pick electronic locks?

Not really. What did the rat do to open it?

He just walked through if I remember correctly. Maybe he did something I wasn't paying attention to, but I think he may be in tune to a lot of the mechanics of this place. [He looks thoughtful] Honestly, if we could understand how Calhoun worked we might be able to escape. A shame none of us seem like we know much about robotics.

I bet after some dismantling we could figure something out...

Anyway, I don't really see a keycard reader here. So the lock could be controlled by radio waves or wifi or Bluetooth... Anything, really. If you get another memory, try to pay attention.

Of course, and you should as well. I'm hoping we'll be able to get memories back without betrayal sometimes...

[He sighs, shakes his head of that depressing thought and looks back to Ema.] Why don't we go see the cafeteria? I'm curious, I have to admit, though not very optimistic.

Is it really open?

There's one way to find out. [He shrugs.] Unless Calhoun plans on having a grand opening.

May as well ask. Otherwise, I'm sure it'll be more than happy to forget.

That's true, I wouldn't put it past Calhoun to conveniently forget something like this. [and he's going to look around to see if their friend the rat is up and about. probably harassing someone else.] Do you think Calhoun is actually just an advanced computer program of some sort? It's beyond anything I thought was actually possible if it is.

It's possible that some fancy AI could be programmed to do this sort of thing. It'd explain the sociopathy, too.

Are AI's really that far advanced? Maybe I just don't keep up with technology. Still you're right, that would explain a lot about Calhoun...

Hey, what's that insinuation, I'm a mouse of my word! You've earned it, and you'll be getting meals you won't soon forget! [He snickers, not forebodingly at all.]

Eh, do you want me to hold your hand for everything? You both seem to like poking around, I'm sure you'll find it just fine.

[Ema you're a star, but yeah wow not even a little foreboding. He sighs.]

I'm not sure I like the sound of that, but I can't say I'm surprised.

...Fine. If it takes trashing the place to figure out where to go, that can be arranged.

Ema, don't say that... [Don't antagonize the rat, his nerves can't take you randomly getting drugged again. Well they could absolutely but it'd still be upsetting ok.]

[technically it would not be 'random' in the least... but she shrugs, turning away]
