ambidex voting #3
![]() After escaping your rooms, talking with others, swiping your Ambidex Room cards, and entering, Calhoun appears on the screen to very briefly explain how the AB Voting works (45 minutes to either choose to Ally or Betray, you gain/lose points depending on what your opponent chooses), but to also introduce this round's prizes. That's right, this round has a whole new set of prizes! They're a bit different from the last round, so listen carefully! For anyone who chooses Betray, they will be getting a standard first aid kit and a can of food. Calhoun noticed that some of you managed to hurt themselves in the puzzle rooms, so he highly encourages you to take advantage of this one-time opportunity for free medical supplies! For anyone who chooses Betray and their opponent chooses Ally, you will get a memory regain instead of a can of food! After all, you'll have access to the cafeteria so it won't really be necessary. For anyone who chooses Ally, well, if your opponent chooses Ally as well, not only will all of your BP increase, you'll even get a gold star of friendship! Doesn't that sound wonderful? If you're the poor sap that chose Ally and got stabbed in the back, well, sorry, you only lose BP, but maybe Calhoun will have something for you. He likes all of his test subjects, so he won't forget anyone here. But anyway, happy voting! Calhoun will see all of you later with the results. |

Ah, hello Light. [He had a feeling Heiji was in trouble soon if not already...] There was um- an accident in the puzzle room, or more a trap. Heiji, Jake and I got hit by it, it was... unpleasant.

[He glances at his bloodstained sleeve, suppressing a sigh.] The other shot small knives out. We all got hit, unfortunately.

[He's still a little bit shaken from the whole experience even if he felt much more calm about it. He sighs and tries again.] We took them out, bandaged up... I think everything will be ok, as long as we're careful about it.

[Snake. Of course he still doesn't know you were burned.] It's a shame we couldn't speak to Jake ahead of time, if we could all have planned to pick betray the first aid and food probably would have been more useful.

Most likely, but what's done is done. Are you actually all right?

[Hershel hesitates, because if he was being entirely honest no, he really wasn't alright. Being stabbed was beyond bizarre, he was fairly certain he was a normal kid and things like that just didn't happen. Suddenly the game became even grimmer and more dire, knowing how close they had been to being stabbed somewhere truly dangerous, like the neck or an artery, and hearing Calhoun talk about how they could be replaced is they died-]
[Yeah, he was certainly not alright, and he probably pauses long enough to make that very apparent, but Light had his own problems to deal with and Hershel felt it would be childish to worry anyone here just because his nerves were twisted. So he makes an effort to smile, even if Light wouldn't see it, as he spoke.]
I'm alright, I'm going to be very careful so hopefully it will heal on it's own. [He glances down.] You should be more worried about Heiji and Jake, they aren't taking this as seriously as I wish they would. Um, would you maybe tell Heiji to take it easy? I already have but you two seem pretty friendly, he'll probably listen to your opinion with a lot of respect.
Not that he wouldn't with me, just you know, he seems stubborn...
