ambidex voting #8
![]() Chop chop, everyone downstairs to the first floor! You're all done the puzzle rooms, so you know what to do. Well, most of you, but it's pretty basic, just enter any Ambidex Room you like (they're not elevators, you ignorant test subjects) then vote! How does voting work? Very simple! Pick Ally or Betray, and that's it! But with every round, there's always some prizes, depending on what you vote, so here's this rounds: For anyone who chooses Ally, well, if your opponent chooses Ally as well, then 2BP for each of you. You get all that friendship, blah blah, whatever. For anyone who chooses Betray, and gets a Betray in return, your BP doesn't change at all, but you might get some coins for your trouble, let's saaaay, 20? Generous, I know. Now, the best part: for anyone who chooses Betray and their opponent chooses Ally, Calhoun will be very generous with his prizes, again! You'll get 15 coins and a memory! Also, as usual, those who pick Betray get 3BP instead of just 2. But if you're the poor sap that chose Ally and got stabbed in the back, well, sorry, you lose 2 BP. At least you got stabbed for the greater good, right? And plus, you might get a little something. He'll talk to you later about it. But anyway, happy voting! Calhoun will see all of you later with the results. |

Hey. I-I'm good. Jake and Piper are really scary people, and I was totally expecting a different result, but we both allied and I'm, like, totally surprised. How are you?
no subject
I wouldn't be afraid of those two. They're all bark and no bite, especially Jake.
[Good thing neither of them are around to hear that..........]
Oh, me? I'm fine. Perfectly fine. [Said rather unconvincingly, and then he IMMEDIATELY CHANGES THE SUBJECT] By the way, Heiji told me about what happened after the cooking contest. I hope you're feeling better now.
no subject
Y-Yeah, I'm okay now. Whatever happened - getting sick, or whatever it was - it only lasted, like, a day or two. [He runs a hand through his hair in thought and then immediately shoves it back into his pocket.] But... I still don't know why we got sick. Maybe Calhoun just poisoned one of the ingredients at random and we were the lucky two to end up with it...?
[buuut he sighs, mumbles something like "i guess it doesn't matter" under his breath and then immediately starts interrogating Clive.]
But, come on, dude. There's totally no way you're "perfectly fine". I can tell.
no subject
Why would you think that? I couldn't possibly be better. Heiji and Hershel allied with me, I no longer have to worry about when my next meal will be... I may have burned a few bridges along the way, but it seems that things are finally looking up for me now. I have nothing to be upset about.
no subject
Maybe something happened in your puzzle room...? [like maybe he got too close to Hershel's afro and it zapped him real bad thanks to all the static electricity that thing must carry?] I-I mean, when me and Sasuke and Enjolras were all in a room together, we allied and stuff, but that was the most miserable I've ever been in this place.
I mean... you don't have to tell me if anything's wrong, but - we're friends, right? I thought we were, at least....
no subject
Of course we're friends, Simon. Actually, you've just reminded me of one thing that I'm rather concerned about. I have to go up against Sasuke and Enjolras next round. I don't know the first thing about Enjolras, and Sasuke... [He's one shady motherfucker.] Have you spoken to him recently? I noticed him slipping out of the room after the results went up with his tail between his legs, metaphorically speaking.
no subject
[and, you know, as long as he isn't going on a knife rampage. Simon's not aware of any bad blood between Sasuke and Clive, so he just tries to fix his buddy with a reassuring smile. As far as he can tell, it should have been impossible for either of them to get on anyone's bad side. They're his bros.]
I-I did see him, though, yeah - we spent some time in the garden together. He's, um... [Simon pauses.] Sasuke's a good guy. He could use a friend like you.
no subject
Did something happen in his puzzle room?
[If they really are best friends then Sasuke would have told Simon all about it, right?]
no subject
I'm sure he'd be happy to know you're worried about him. Like I said, um... he could use some more friends. I can introduce you guys before the next round, if you haven't already met.
no subject
We've already met, and I have to say, I'm not very impressed with him so far. Just the other day, he threw a knife at Snake and nearly killed him. He claimed he was just startled, but I'm not so sure if I believe that. Even if it's true, that's hardly a normal reaction to being startled. It strongly suggests that he has a rather violent nature, whether he's aware of it himself or not. And now I find him sneaking off with the same guilty sort of look on his face he did after he attacked Snake.
So, I'm going to ask you again, and you're going to give me a definite answer this time. Did something happen in his puzzle room? [None of this vague "maybe" bullshit.]
no subject
N-No... I mean... maybe something happened... but... [More maybe bullshit. Simon wouldn't be Simon if he didn't lay on the bullshit as thick as possible.] Like I said - he's my best friend. I trust him. You should trust him, too, okay?
[but obviously just telling clive to chill isn't going to work, so he exhales and tries to steady his breathing. it really seems like he doesn't want to talk about this, but. he'll tell clive what he knows if he absolutely has to.]
What are you going to do if I tell you what happened...? I don't want to get anyone into trouble.
no subject
There's no need for concern. I'm going to keep whatever information you tell me to myself, and as long as Sasuke behaves in the upcoming puzzle room, I'll leave him alone. I just want to know for my peace of mind. I have too many doubts about him right now, and even if the truth is unpleasant, I'll feel a lot safer knowing it than being left in the dark about it. So please... help me.
