ambidex voting #8
![]() Chop chop, everyone downstairs to the first floor! You're all done the puzzle rooms, so you know what to do. Well, most of you, but it's pretty basic, just enter any Ambidex Room you like (they're not elevators, you ignorant test subjects) then vote! How does voting work? Very simple! Pick Ally or Betray, and that's it! But with every round, there's always some prizes, depending on what you vote, so here's this rounds: For anyone who chooses Ally, well, if your opponent chooses Ally as well, then 2BP for each of you. You get all that friendship, blah blah, whatever. For anyone who chooses Betray, and gets a Betray in return, your BP doesn't change at all, but you might get some coins for your trouble, let's saaaay, 20? Generous, I know. Now, the best part: for anyone who chooses Betray and their opponent chooses Ally, Calhoun will be very generous with his prizes, again! You'll get 15 coins and a memory! Also, as usual, those who pick Betray get 3BP instead of just 2. But if you're the poor sap that chose Ally and got stabbed in the back, well, sorry, you lose 2 BP. At least you got stabbed for the greater good, right? And plus, you might get a little something. He'll talk to you later about it. But anyway, happy voting! Calhoun will see all of you later with the results. |

It was of course just normal friendly concern, nothing to see here moving along.

"Oh, also, did you get the story behind the double betray from his team?"

After all, Clive was a reporter; he was probably used to chasing scoops, stop the presses, etc.

Um. Sometimes extremely rough around the edges, depending on how angry he got, but he and Heiji seemed to get along.

"I suppose you could say that. After the sixth AB Round, Kuzuryuu was suffering from some pretty bad injuries from the gallery, and since I had just gotten a medical kit, I went up to him, introduced myself, and asked him if he'd like to borrow it so he could treat his wounds properly. He thought I must have wanted something from him, so he demanded me to tell him what I wanted. I insisted that I didn't want anything from him and there was no need to make such a fuss, and then he quite literally told me to 'fuck off.' So that's what I did." He also said some not very pleasant things in return, but that wasn't important.
"If he doesn't want my kindness, then that's perfectly fine with me. I'll save it for the people who actually deserve it." Kuzuryuu, meanwhile, deserved every single horrible thing that would ever happen to him.

"I can understand why, though. He don't want to feel like he owes anyone, especially if he's going to be up against them." Heiji looked thoughtful. "Ain't the way I'd handle it, but he's actually a good guy to have on your team."

"Anyway, what was Snake's side of the story?"
no subject
"He wasn't able to tell me all that much, just that he thought Enjolras and Kuzuryuu had some kind of beef with each other. In other words, Snake wasn't much of a factor at all. But goin' off what Hershel said about what went down in the rooms before, you can still put together a pretty solid hypothesis, right?"
He ticked off points on his fingers as he spoke. "Enjolras is pretty annoying, and Kuzuryuu's got a short temper. Enjolras was smashin' things up in at least one of the puzzle rooms from before, and Kuzuryuu likes to go through 'em carefully. Plus, he probably don't know either Enjolras or Snake all that well, and I don't think either of them pushed all that hard to get him to change his mind. So he announced beforehand that he was gonna pick Betray, and that's just what he did."
no subject
"Enjolras has a destructive streak, too? This is the first I've heard of it." He was so not amused at all by this revelation. "So I'm stuck with the French version of Jake and the boy who almost killed Snake next round. Lovely." If there were no murders in their room then it would truly be a miracle. Be prepared, Heiji, you may have to say goodbye to at least one of them.
no subject
Heiji waved a hand. "No, not a destructive streak, exactly. Like the first time I talked to him, he was goin' on and on about how we were slaves and how we needed to join together in protest or somethin' like that. I think he's just one of those loudmouthed political weirdos. Hopefully he's learned his lesson, 'cause booby traps don't care if you yell slogans at 'em."

Then he held up his hands. "In terms of voting, though, I bet those two'd be better to be up against than Zelos and Jake." That was Heiji's reality next round...

He couldn't help but chuckle at such a simple, confident answer. "I see. Make sure those two don't kill each other in there, will you?" Because he was the only one who was allowed to kill either of them-- I mean what.
no subject
"Er... no promises. I ain't Hershel, and mediatin' isn't really my strong point..." If Jake ended up wearing Zelos's hair, well... so be it.
