T H E  W A R E H O U S E 【 day 41 】 Hello newcomers, welcome to the 【 Warehouse 】. Once you escape your elevator, you will find yourself here. It's strangely empty for a warehouse. Aside from the elevators you've come out of, there's nothing else here. In fact, the longer you look around, the stranger everything looks. Every window has been bolted shut, with no way of removing the steel coverings. The only source of illumination comes from the florescent lights above. Along the walls are numerous amounts of surveillance cameras, watching every bit of movement and listening to the sounds of everyone and everything. Every door is locked up tight, with no clear way of opening them, and there's one giant door with a 9 painted on it. It's a rather strange place, and there seems to be a lot of people here, so go introduce yourselves? For the "old-timers" and "newly-become-old-timers", come meet your new fellow test subjects. You haven't had more than one person arrive in a long while, so what a surprise! This also means that there are two elevators that you can jump into and have a nice, long, cold bath in! How generous of Calhoun.

[ She isn't entirely sure what she was expecting to find when she emerged from the elevator, but a warm reception somehow didn't rank among her top five possibilities. Still, Akane is pretty relieved to find others like herself here, even if it isn't under the most favorable of circumstances. She beams gratefully at Heiji. ]

It's nice to meet you! My name is Akane Kurashrek-- I mean, Kurashiki. [ A small giggle. ] I guess you must be here for the Nonary Game, too, right?

"That's right!" said Heiji, grinning in response. At least Akane didn't seem too down about the whole deal?

"I was one of the the first people to wake up here, and they ain't got rid of me yet. Say, you're kinda dripping on the floor, there. You wanna go to the garden? The lighting might help you dry out a little faster."

I am? [ She looks down at the pool of water slowly gathering at her feet, then looks back at him with a slightly apologetic smile. ] Oh... I am. A garden sounds really nice, actually.

[ Then, something dawns on her: ] But if there's a garden... could it be possible to leave that way?

[ Akane has a suspicion that she knows the answer, but it can't hurt to ask. ]

Heiji laughed good-naturedly as he started towards the garden, hands in pockets. "Don't I wish. Nah, you'll see what I mean when we get there, but it's totally indoors.

"Got some runnin' water in a little stream and pond, but the water source comes out of a wall. It's still a lot nicer than here, though. I mean, there's actually grass and flowers, and at night there's kind of a fake night sky set up."
