ambidex voting #11
![]() Chop chop, everyone downstairs to the first floor! You're all done the puzzle rooms, so you know what to do. Well, most of you, but it's pretty basic, just enter any Ambidex Room you like (they're not elevators, you ignorant test subjects) then vote! How does voting work? Very simple! Pick Ally or Betray, and that's it! But with every round, there's always some prizes, depending on what you vote, so here's this rounds: For anyone who chooses Ally, well, if your opponent chooses Ally as well, then 2BP for each of you. You get all that friendship, blah blah, whatever. For anyone who chooses Betray, and gets a Betray in return, your BP doesn't change at all, but you might get some coins for your trouble, let's saaaay, 20? Generous, I know. Now, the best part: for anyone who chooses Betray and their opponent chooses Ally, Calhoun will be very generous with his prizes, again! You'll get 15 coins and a memory! Also, as usual, those who pick Betray get 3BP instead of just 2. But if you're the poor sap that chose Ally and got stabbed in the back, well, sorry, you lose 2 BP. At least you got stabbed for the greater good, right? And plus, you might get a little something. He'll talk to you later about it. But anyway, happy voting! Calhoun will see all of you later with the results. |

Yep, getting right down to it. After all, even Hershel had expressed some reservations about Alfendi, and well. Hershel.

"Anyway, for some reason he couldn't remember who our opponent was. Of course, I didn't know either since I had just woken up, so we agreed to vote Betray out of self-preservation. Honestly, it all felt so... surreal." Naturally they also spent like 99% of the time sassing at each other but that was probably a given.
no subject
"Did it seem convincing to you? His claim that he couldn't remember, I mean. Could it have been an act?"
no subject
Basically it was... mostly Clive's fault... He probably could have talked Alfendi into picking Ally instead, but he wasn't willing to take the risk - mostly for Alfendi's sake, since he only had 5 BP.

What the heck kind of soap opera condition was this, anyway...
"Okay, you said he was like a different person. As in a separate personality? Or was it more like it was him, but just in a highly agitated state?"
no subject
"I hesitate to call it a separate personality because it sounds so... unrealistic, but that's exactly what it seemed like. His behavior and mannerisms were the complete opposite of how he normally is in every single way possible. It was quite jarring to wake up to." Didn't really help that he was expecting Jake to still be in the room with him, not Alfendi.

Maybe this was what Hershel had been talking about earlier. "But it makes sense. I was wondering how anyone could be as imperturbable as he was when I started talking to him about the 'game' here. Guess now I know."
He looked Clive over quickly. "You didn't get any extra injuries in there, did you? You're feelin' okay?"
no subject
"Oh, so you found out about my injury from the grey room?" He shouldn't even be surprised, really - Heiji always seemed to know everything. "No, don't worry, Alfendi didn't hurt me. Honestly, I'm feeling very tired and overwhelmed from this whole ordeal, and my wound from last round still hurts a bit, but I'll be fine."
no subject
Hmm, but if Clive was tired... "I'll quit botherin' you if you want to take a nap or something."
Although really, Clive should stretch out his limbs a bit after all that coma-ing.
no subject
And then after a moment of consideration: "You can stay if you want to." He didn't actually want to sleep yet despite his exhaustion, anyway.
no subject
"He totally was, though. Changed your bandages on the regular once he found out about your arm. I thought it was best to just let him do it. He's been learning first aid, y'know."
no subject
"I'm not getting shy," he said in the most indignant tone. Clive how old are you again???
Then he paused thoughtfully, trying really hard to hide his lingering embarrassment but probably not doing a very good job at it. "I see. That was very kind of him. I'll have to find a way to repay him later."
no subject
"Well, that shouldn't be too hard. Somehow he reminds me of a mom. You know, like the kind with little kids who give her a handmade card and then she's like 'wow, what a masterpiece!'" That's right, Hershel. Line up for your mom apron, it has scarlet letters on the front just for you.
