[ As soon the AB Rooms open up and Jake checks the results, he finds Clive and pulls on his arm a bit, leading towards the stairwell. ]

To the garden, c'mon.

[ He will let go of Clive's arm since he trusts the little brat can follow on his own but he will drag him there if he has to. ]

[Yeah, yeah, Clive has a feeling he knows what Jake wants to talk about, so he will comply and follow Jake to the garden. Once they get there, he takes out Jake's bag of coins and holds it out to him.]

[ He takes it and then pulls out Clive's bag, tossing it over to him. He wants to check his coins and see that they're all there, but he'll do that after. They have way more important shit to discuss, so let's cut to the chase. ]

You know why we need to talk: you're not going to mention what happened in that room to anyone.

[God Jake, why can't you ever just hand things to him like a normal person? But he catches the bag.]

Well obviously. But you know how Heiji is - he's going to want details right away, and I'm sure he'll catch on if we refuse to tell him anything at all. It's suspicious enough that we both made it out of the room unharmed. So how about this? We let Alessa escape, fully expecting that she was going to break into our room to attack us. You hid behind the door and I stayed in front of the computer. Alessa entered the room with her knife in hand and looked straight at me, then prepared to attack, completely unaware that you were hiding in the shadows behind her. Before she could do a thing, you struck her from behind with all your strength, effectively knocking her unconscious. A few seconds later, we lost consciousness as well and woke up in our elevators. That sounds like a believable fake story, right?

[That's basically what the backup plan was going to be if their attempt to kill her failed, anyway.]

[ Because this is Jake Muller, he's not a normal person at all. What are you expecting from him. ]

[ But he thinks this over. It's important that they come up with a good cover story so no one suspects anything. After the whole Akiko matter, this is really the last thing they need everyone to know, especially in a whole game based on trust. ]

Fine, but you're only using that story when someone asks. Don't go around spreading it everywhere.

There's only six other people in this warehouse. It's going to spread no matter what, especially once Heiji knows. He has a penchant for gossip.

[Teenagers. A smile creeps up on Clive's face.]

But what's wrong with that? Don't you want everyone to know how strong and amazing you are?

[ Ugh, Clive had a point there. Jake still didn't want teenagers to gossip around this. Why must that be a thing ]

I have enough fans, thanks, but the last thing we need is someone figuring out what really happened, so as much as you admire me, keep it tight-lipped.

[Because teenagers will be teenagers, apparently.]

I'll do whatever feels natural at the time. You should do the same. I really hope you're better at acting than you are at being a helpful teammate, or else we're doomed.

Clive gives Jake an unconvinced look and then takes a peek inside his bag to make sure none of his stuff is missing. Like hell he was gonna leave before confirming that.]
