ambidex voting #13
![]() Another round, maybe this one will end better? Less blood and gore even? No? Well, here are the conditions regardless.: For anyone who chooses Ally, well, if your opponent chooses Ally as well, then 2BP for each of you and blah blah blah, predictable. Bore him to tears why don't you. For anyone who chooses Betray, and gets a Betray in return, everyone's BP stays the same and one of you gets fifty coins! That'd be fun, right? A cheeky little gamble. The rest get a pat on the back and that warm feeling of a vote well voted. Last but certainly not least: for anyone who chooses Betray and their opponent chooses Ally, same deal as last time, two whole memories! Eh, eh? Come on, that's a pretty good deal, right? Take the offer! And the ally person well, they get the usual. So, happy voting! Calhoun will see all of you later with the results. |

"I think... as long as you're even a little cautious, you won't have the same problem Alfendi did."

Well. He supposed someone had to. "Good to hear, though. I'll try and play it safe. If I ended up worse off than him, I don't think I could keep my head up."

He shook his head. "Don't get me wrong, it's better than nothing, but you'd think there'd be some room in those criteria for taste. That ain't even the weirdest thing about him. He's like super-focused on protecting Hershel's... I dunno. Innocence or somethin'. He's convinced I wanna date him."
no subject
The second part only serves to confuse him even further. "--You didn't tell him you were already dating someone else?" He could understand why, but it would be a good way to deflect, at least.

"'No way! Clive? Haha! That's disgusting! Oh my god! That's gross! Clive? Clive?! Why not just date a literal pile of garbage?!'"
Heiji shrugged it off, looking annoyed. "...And then he just kept goin' on like that. If he went off on like Snake like that I'd probably have to pop him one, so I figured I'd just let him think I liked someone else."
no subject
"...How did he get the idea you liked Clive?"
no subject
Then again, maybe he just lost the genetic lottery. Hard.

He couldn't imagine anyone feeling sorry enough to saddle themselves with Alfendi, to be honest, but if the other Laytons were as kindhearted as Hershel and his parents, then... maybe...
Maybe...................

"The first two sound more likely. Do you know if either of them remember each other?" It could shed some light on their relation...

He didn't think that distress in the grey room had been feigned, though of course anything was possible. "I tried to get Hershel to just up and question Alfendi about it straight-out while he's like he is now, but he ain't too keen on it."

"Two...?"
Guess who hasn't actually talked to Alfendi like... at all.
no subject
"Well, it seems like he's got two different personalities. Or close enough, anyway. One of 'em's really calm, the other one's... excitable."

God, Sasuke. God. Just. Alfendi.

"Why murder?"
no subject
"I mean, when he was talkin' about it to me, he was goin' on about how the motive for murder can transcend the pettiness of human existence and achieve true beauty or somethin'. It was seriously weird. Got real upset with me when I said a lot of murderers were just lowlifes. You know, the type to kill over an inheritance dispute or for control of a company. Or to cover their tracks and try and prevent a scandal."
no subject
Like... What? Where the heck would a hobby like that come from?
no subject
God where did Alfendi even come from. Maybe he crawled out of a storm drain one day.
no subject
"...I wonder what makes him so interested in them...?" There has to be some kind of logical explanation for it. Work maybe, or...

Heiji shook his head. "Who knows? Not sayin' I don't like a good detective novel now and then, but... I don't really see the family resemblance. I mean, Hershel's so nice. And normal."
