One whole day after the second group’s arrival (along with one whole day since the dead body’s discovery...), some sort of activity in the warehouse begins. Early in the morning, there is an abrupt squawk of microphone feedback over the loudspeakers (and since when were there loudspeakers?), before a screechy voice makes a terse announcement: “Ahem, ahem, testing. One, two, three, testing! Ooookay, looks like this is up and running. So, you pesky test subjects, what a mess you’ve made! I take my eyes off you for just a moment and this is what happens. You really are a terrible bunch, aren’t you?” The “voice” clicks its tongue three times, letting out a heavy sigh, before continuing. “Anyway, let’s get this all sorted out! Know those elevators back out in the lobby? Well, first of all, they’re not elevators. They’re called Ambidex Rooms, so get it right, but second of all, why don’t you all make yourselves useful for once and step into them? Only one test subject per room, though! You can try to go in with someone else, but we just don’t start. What is that? You don’t want to go in? Then we can do this aaaaaaaaall day, I’m a very patient mouse, I’ll let you know!” And with that, the mysterious announcer goes silent. In fact, they’ll stay quiet until all the test subjects finally enter one of the AB Rooms, no matter how long it take. Once inside, the doors shut close, trapping them all inside..

"A man holding a bloody knife." He paused. "Well, it looked like blood. I suppose he could have been wiping ink off the blade ♠."

We're so surrounded in quills of ink around here. *Heavy sarcasm, but it was new information...wait a minute.* You said he cleaned off a knife? Did he shove it into a pocket?

"Not that I saw. But if you did, perhaps your video was a continuation."

Maria was such an angry sort, but Hisoka was satisfied with his decision to not tell her what he'd really seen -- a woman with short hair. After all, the only short-haired woman around here was...

Hmmm. That's actually pretty helpful. *Assuming Hisoka was telling the truth. It could be that they were all shown the same action but doctored for each person. Which if that were true...*

I think we're all being tricked.

[hisokathemagician]

"That's quite possible," said Hisoka. "But if that's the case, what do you propose ♠? Our captor seems to have decided that somebody has to take the blame."

Because no one remembers how we got here, all we have to rely on are the videos. If those aren't true, we're going to blame someone who didn't do it. It's like...a giant experiment. *The thought only occurred to her as she thought aloud.*

[hisokathemagician]

"It's quite possible that no one here did it ♥," said Hisoka, which was his way of agreeing with her.

"The problem is that we've been told to vote for someone. So will you try to abstain? If you do, your vote may be for yourself by default."

*She hated to admit it but he had a point.* I don't really want to pin myself as a murderer...damn. It's like we've been given a scenario and no matter what we do, something bad is going to happen.

[hisokathemagician]

"Well..." said Hisoka, tapping a finger against his chin. "Something bad already did. But I understand what you mean ♦."

"If you like, you can vote for me."

Hunh? Why would you want people to vote for you? *Unless...was he confessing. Maria thought he was enough of a fruit loop to do it.*

"I'm saying no hard feelings if you do. It's an easy way out for you. So why not take it?"

It was hard to tell if Hisoka was serious or not; after all, there was no way of telling what the punishment would be...

So you're saying I should just pick you because we need to blame someone if none of these videos make sense? *What kind of logic did this guy operate under?*

"I'm saying that if you need to pick someone, you can pick me." Honestly, it wasn't that hard.

So...you really don't care what might happen to you if people all vote for you? *Actually, yes it was, Hisoka.*

Hisoka sighed. "I'm not fond of explaining myself ♣."

He'd really only offered because Maria seemed like one of those types that needed to be happy with their decision. But actually going into all of that sounded enormously tiresome.

"Well, they say difference is the spice of life ♦. I'll make an effort to listen if you should feel the need." How much of an effort depended on his mood, though.
