[books are a good distraction so he starts perusing, eyes lighting up a bit because yeah books are cool nerd etc etc.] I was half expecting them to be all science or something similar. What do you like to read that isn't along those lines? [surely not romances, he's a bit preoccupied picking up something that looks like the biography of some boring, stony faced politician. what a delight.]
