ambidex voting #17
![]() Once everyone exits their respective rooms, Zero's voice will be heard over the speakers: "Proceed into the Ambidex Rooms and cast your vote. You will be given 45 minutes to decide." And with that, the elevator doors open and the PA system turns itself off. It seems as if there are no rewards or any of that nonsense this time around... |

[well, blame jake and his shitty memory filled with shitty feelings for that. automatic:] I'm fine. ...I mean, his memory is his problem. [even if it still feels frighteningly raw, it's not like she has to poke at it ever.] And my memory wasn't anything I didn't already know. So...nothing to worry about, okay?

[he nods, clearly not completely convinced but you know.] The offer Alfendi made stands with me too, you know. If you ever wanted to talk. [and then like a good dude he looks to the book pile to give her an out.] So what exactly did you get from the library? Anything good?

[she looks away, scratching at her nose] I'm already always spewing feelings at you as it is, I'd think you'd be tired of it by now. [she pauses, fiddles with the hem of her sweater] Not that I don't appreciate it. [and before she can worry too much in one direction or another, she grabs onto that out and absconds towards it as quickly as possible, spreading the small pile of books for him to peruse] Well, you know, nothing too exciting. It was dark so I just grabbed at random. If you want to read anything, feel free.

[and he smiles] Absolutely not, we are friends after all, as soppy as it sounds. [books are a good distraction so he starts perusing, eyes lighting up a bit because yeah books are cool nerd etc etc.] I was half expecting them to be all science or something similar. What do you like to read that isn't along those lines? [surely not romances, he's a bit preoccupied picking up something that looks like the biography of some boring, stony faced politician. what a delight.]

[she just smiles at that, then turns away a bit because (friends and) books are awesome] At this point, reading anything is fine. Stories where things happen are good. [surely not romances, who would think she would read a thing like that, most definitely there aren't a few in there with dogeared pages, nope. it's all science and the life and times of dull mcboringface, yup] What about you?
