Early in the morning of Day 84, an announcement booms from the warehouse speakers: "All test subjects report to the first floor lobby immediately for your next experiment." Zero's unmistakable garbled voice goes silent afterwards. Once everyone gathers downstairs, they'll be treated to an unexpected sight: Zero standing in front of them in the flesh. Standing tall (at 5'4"...), they're donned in the same piece of clothing everyone remembers them in: a black raincoat (large and long enough that it covers their entire body, leaving no distinguishable features), a full facial gas mask, and matching black gloves. It seems as if Zero really dislikes showing skin... "Today, you will be participating in a game of, what you may call, 'Bingo'. I believe most of you have participated in this before. The rules and explanations are on the back of the cards." An arm is raised to motion towards the paper cards scattered on the nearby table, then it falls again. "Due to some... unfortunate events, I will monitor you in person. However, do not underestimate what will happen to you should you decide to cheat, escape, attack, or do anything that will break my rules. Your bracelets are still very functional and my cameras will continue to record every move you take, so I suggest that you refrain from doing anything foolish." "Now begin." ✖ This Calhoun Hour will go towards AC. You do not have to complete this event, but you do need to have a minimum of 10 comments from you.

✖ Characters are allowed to interact with Zero, who will remain standing in place and refuse to partake in any tomfoolery. For players who wish to thread with Zero, please contact a mod.

✖ You must at least start the activity in your thread for it to count as a square. You do not need to finish the entire thread.

✖ If you fill out a line, you get a bonus of five coins. You can only get this bonus a maximum of three times, so only three lines count, so you can only get an extra 15 coins.

✖ If you fill out the entire card, you will get an extra ten coins and a memory, meaning the maximum amount of coins a character can earn is 65.

✖ You can do up to three activities per person.

✖ This event will last for 4 OOC days and 1 IC day. The deadline to hand in all your threads will be April 6 at 11:59PM EST.

✖ A post-event thread will go up on April 6.

[alfendi has been going out of his way to avoid people ever since he came back to the warehouse. he never stays in the garden too long, he keeps his steps quiet even when he's sure he's alone, and he spends a lot of time sandwiched behind one of the AB rooms - one of the only places he's found that offers genuine privacy. it's been tough, but generally pretty doable. lots of sneaking around and sleeping in weird places.

so, naturally, he's kind of pissed when zero forces him to hang out with everyone and play bingo. worse, zero is just there, staring at him. in the face. and while alfendi looks a lot healthier than he did the last time he was here, he looks a lot more sullen and withdrawn, as if all the melodramatic energy has been drained out of him and replaced with a brooding, quiet bitterness. a brooding, quiet bitterness that is currently being directed at zero through a lot of pointed staring. but whatever.

he will be standing off to the side if you want to bug him with a card idea. otherwise he'll come and bug you later probably idk i'm too lazy to plurk about plans ok just do whatever]

[Zero had mentioned the cameras, but just how much help would those be if he wasn't looking at them? Was there some kind of automated process, or did he have a screen inside the helmet...?

Either way, it's worth trying, he thinks, to test if it's true or not. With that in mind, various bingo activities bring him to Zero's blind spot, and it's from there that he eventually makes his attempt. His footsteps as silent as humanly possible, he keeps out of what he thinks ought to be Zero's line of sight, trying to sneak up on him from behind...]

[ Once all the Bingo cards has been rounded up at the end of the day, Zero gathers everyone in the main lobby again. Strangely enough, Zero still stands in the exact same spot they were in earlier this morning. ]

Congratulations on completing this extremely mundane task. I expect a bit more trouble from you all, but it appears we got through this without any unfortunate incidents.

[ Zero eyes at Ema and Sasuke, then back to the group at large. ]

You will all be receiving the appropriate amount of coins as your prize, but I suppose that everyone sees information as a much more valuable reward. After being stuck together for almost 20 days, I only see it fitting that we finally speak to each other face-to-face, and not behind a mask.

[ Zero reaches up to undo their mask to pull it off, and... ]

[ ... everyone is greeted with Calhoun's wonderful face instead. Or, well, just his dumb gas mask face. He snickers loudly and pulls back the large hood that weighs on his head. He looks as he did before he was torn up into little pieces, as if he never even left, though... His fur does seem a bit cleaner than before. ]

Spring Fools, or whatever you humans like to call it. You have way too many holidays that I can't even keep up! [ Well, it's not really a holiday, but Calhoun doesn't really care... ]

[ He shakes off the heavy rain coat, revealing the wooden soap box he was standing on, and jumps off. He carefully sets Zero's gas mask on the crate then starts to remove his gloves. ]

Phew! That thing is stuffy. I have no idea how the Master does it...

[ He tosses the gloves off onto the ground and then places his paws on his waist. ]

You pesky test subjects! I'd like to say that I've missed you as much as you've missed me, but it seems like you didn't even care if I was gone or not! When I was in a time of need, you've done nothing to help. Sewing disturbing things into my fur, setting my limbs on fire, oh, it's too much! And here I thought that we had a special bond with each other...

[ He pretends to cry, wiping an imaginary tear away from his gas mask, then stands up straight. ]

Which is why I thought I'd pull this hilarious prank to get back at you! Just how many of you actually thought that was the real Zero? C'mon, admit it, you truly thought that my Master is dumb enough to come here in person around you dirty lot. I bet some of you did! Truly goes to show that you're not as bright as you think you are.

So! [ He claps his paws together. ] I'm back to being your caretaker and my Master is back to watching you all from a respectful safe distance from you dumb-idiot-germ-spreading test subjects. This means my shop's back in action, and we can spend a little more together time.

[ And with that, Calhoun is back. Any previous methods of trying to contact Zero (either through the bracelets or screens) have been shut off. Instead, characters can now have the usual 24/7 access to Calhoun's shop and find the little rodent around the warehouse, doing something or another. Happy belated April Fools! ]

...Yeah, he didn't think Zero would've pulled off that mask. Oh well. For what it was worth, Heiji did feel something not entirely negative to see Calhoun back again. He was annoying, sure, but he was familiar.

W e l p that memory was pretty intense. After the event and bugging Calhoun, Heiji could be found around the warehouse, eating gruel, fiddling with a loose button that did not appear to have popped off his current set of clothes, and examining the lighter that he'd been keeping with the rest of his possessions.

...Maybe rubbing his leg and wincing a little, because Jake was made of frozen beef jerky or something.

Once again, your dulcet tones ring out in the warehouse, Calhoun. *He will confess that he probably was tricked because how would he be able to tell?*

[He'd... honestly had his suspicions after interacting with Zero, so this is less of a shock than it could have been. He doesn't react in the slightest when glared at, and his eyes only widen a fraction at the reveal itself.

At any rate, he's got a hand lightly over his forehead immediately after getting his memory back, but he'll let it drop once he's spotted. He's not sure if he'll ever get used to shaking off the sensations brought about by the memories...]

[Well, Calhoun's back, that's... great. Actually it was kind of good, at least he seemed the lesser of two evils, so for whatever reason Hershel was almost relieved to see him but didn't bother to go try and talk to the robot. Yet. Eat shit, mouse.

He can be found at the shop though, then looking around for some mysterious people (Jake and Alfendi, has shit to say to you both) and otherwise can probably be found staring off into the horizon like a true space cadet anywhere you wish. This is a shitty placeholder comment, whoops.]
