one new mouse
It's been two days since the vote. Since then, there has been little activity. The speakers have never been turned on since that day, and there's been no sign of the owner of that voice. No further contact has been made, and it seems as if the group was abandoned again without a clue as to why they're here. ... Unless any members of the group are lucky enough to wake up early enough to catch a glimpse of something, uh, "new"... In the Greenhouse, while the artificial sky is a reddish colour from "sunrise", a large metal ladder is placed in front of the sickly trees. Beside the ladder is a children's wagon, filled with apples, and on top is an upright mouse with a gas mask... Yeah, as if this place couldn't get any weirder. The mouse quietly mumbles to itself, something along the lines of "... work... not paid... test subjects... spoiled", and holds an apple in one paw and a tape gun in the other. It appears to be taping the apples to the tree branches, one at a time, occasionally climbing down to grab an armful of apples to bring up. It's only a third way through the pile of apples (which only seems to be about a dozen...) so catch it while you can. |

TALK TO CALHOUN
Re: TALK TO CALHOUN
He remembers seeing a gasmask before.
Atsuro slowly walks towards it, until he's close enough to pick up on...words? It can talk?]
Uh, hey?
[This feels so weird.]

Can't you see that I'm busy, test subject? Sheeeesh, what's a mouse gotta do around here to tape apples to a tree in peace?
[ He sounds... whiny. He sighs and shakes his head. ]

That's why I'm taping them up, test subject, so I don't have you bunch getting scurvy on me!
[ He doesn't budge from the ladder nor does he offer one, however. He just gets back to taping the one in his hands. Maybe he wants you to grab it from his wagon or climb a tree?? ]

It's a loose photograph, not at all dated, but showing herself smiling happily with some older men. All of them are covered in a layer of dust, and are dressed lightly for travel in warmer climates - clearly something more on the exploration side as opposed to leisure.
You'd almost expect a photo of her with friends around her age, but... None of the people look especially bad-natured. She doubts she would travel with a whole group of such people unless they were allies. So what's this about?]

Sooooo... Asides from that weird rat thing, at least we have some new stuff. What'cha get?

[She shows it to Ellie with a look of confusion. True, the older guys have distinctly grandfatherly looks, but it's a pretty odd age group for a girl like her to be around. And they certainly couldn't be related, either; these guys are definitely westerners judging by the look of them, whereas she's pretty clearly Japanese.]
no subject
Huh, who are all these people?
[ She asks, forgetting that Rio, just like everyone else, doesn't have any memories before the warehouse... ]

All right, it's been a little tense lately, so here: what did the duck say when he bought lipstick?
"Put it on my bill."
[ She lets out a small chuckle after. Hope you're prepared. HERE COMES THE PUNS ]

"No Pun Intended: Volume Too" by Will Livingston. This is what that mouse gave me and it's great. You seriously gotta hear some of the puns in this.
[ While the whole situation in here sucks and there's that whole dead body from a few days ago, this is a little something to lighten her up and SHE IS PUMPED ABOUT IT ]

A NEW ARRIVAL
[ Welcome to the 【 Warehouse 】. ]
[ Upon waking up, you will quickly notice just how dark it is. Asides from the single light dim light inside the elevators (named 'AMBIDEX ROOM' and a panel of florescent lights on the ceilings above the elevators, there are no other sources of artificial illumination in the lobby. Luckily, it appears that someone (Calhoun, most likely) has re-lit the small fire pits throughout to provide a greater sense of visibility, but just by a slight margin. With this, however, it'd somewhat easier to see that it's strangely empty for a warehouse. Aside from the elevators you've come out of, there's nothing else here. In fact, the longer you look around, the stranger everything looks. ]
[ Every window has been bolted shut, with no way of removing the steel coverings. Along the walls are numerous amounts of surveillance cameras, watching every bit of movement and listening to the sounds of everyone and everything. Every door is locked up tight, with no clear way of opening them, and there's one giant door with a 9 painted on it. To make matters weirder, you will find yourself with various scrapes, bruises, and dried blood. On top of that, you will all find a bracelet wrapped around your left wrist. It looks a lot like a digital watch, but you might suspect that it is broken, as the face is completely blank. There are two buttons on the top, but other than producing a satisfying click, pressing them does absolutely nothing. Trying to take it off is a futile effort as well, as they do not have a visible clasp to undo. ]
[ Finally, the cherry on top of all this? You will recall nothing. ]
[ You may find objects that may resonate with you, that feel familiar in your hands, along with having a general idea of knowing just who they are (names, likes, dislikes, peeves, etc), but trying to remember what happened? Why you're here? Where you even are? It'd all be one giant blur and trying to force a memory only leads to a headache. The whole situation reeks dangerous and suspicious, but there seems to be a lot of people here, so go introduce yourselves? ]
[ As for the "old-timers", come meet your new fellow test subject. They're probably not dangerous... Probably. ]
Re: A NEW ARRIVAL
Atsuro looks around as he quickly try to make sense of this situation.
Nothing about this make any sense to him. And to top it off, he...doesn't remember what happened? What?
To anyone that comes in, they would see a Japanese teenage boy, who looks to be about in the late teenage years. He's looking around with wary and scared eyes. If they get closer, they could see a cut with some already dried up blood coming from it on his cheek. He didn't notice the cut, yet.]
hello ;)
Oh boy, uh, all right, this is a thing. Okay... So! I guess you're wondering where you are and what happened and all that, right?
[ That's totally the way to greet new people... ]
hey baby
What? [Oh yeah, she asked a thing.] Uh... yeah. I have no idea what's going on. Do you know?
[So he wake up in a strange warehouse and there's this girl who came to him, asking if he doesn't know what's up. Right now, Atsuro really wants information first before he can start worrying about other things. Or anything to calm down his worries, before he starts overthinking things.]
just tell me if this isn't okay!
