It's been two days since the vote. Since then, there has been little activity. The speakers have never been turned on since that day, and there's been no sign of the owner of that voice. No further contact has been made, and it seems as if the group was abandoned again without a clue as to why they're here. ... Unless any members of the group are lucky enough to wake up early enough to catch a glimpse of something, uh, "new"... In the Greenhouse, while the artificial sky is a reddish colour from "sunrise", a large metal ladder is placed in front of the sickly trees. Beside the ladder is a children's wagon, filled with apples, and on top is an upright mouse with a gas mask... Yeah, as if this place couldn't get any weirder. The mouse quietly mumbles to itself, something along the lines of "... work... not paid... test subjects... spoiled", and holds an apple in one paw and a tape gun in the other. It appears to be taping the apples to the tree branches, one at a time, occasionally climbing down to grab an armful of apples to bring up. It's only a third way through the pile of apples (which only seems to be about a dozen...) so catch it while you can.

[ She flips the book back to herself and clears her throat. ]

What happened to a frog's car when it broke down? It got toad away. [ Small laugh here. ] That one's good.

*Stupid joke contest, hunh? It's immature, yes, but somehow she could picture herself doing this with someone...only she couldn't remember who.*

Let me think of one. *Then for whatever reason, her mind went to medical humor. She mimed talking on a telephone.* Urology department, please hold.

[ It takes Ellie about a second to get it. Mostly because she's 14 and doesn't know stuff like that, but it clicks by just guessing what urology means from context and from how it sounds. ]

Aw, gross! That's terrible.

[ She laughs nevertheless. ]

It kinda makes sense that I have medical humor. *She pulled out a picture from her jacket pocket and showed it to Ellie. Maria is leaning over to face the camera and she's not alone. Five other people are with her, three other guys and two women. Four of the people in the picture are wearing white lab coats.*

[ Ellie closes her book to look over at the photo. ]

Whoa, so you're some sort of doctor?

I've been thinking about what I do know, even if I can't remember where I got it from. I have a lot of medical knowledge but I don't know if that qualifies me to be a doctor. I don't think I could perform surgery or anything.

Then what, you're like a med student? Or a nurse?

[ She doesn't really know why someone would know a lot of medical stuff but not be a doctor. ]

Maybe. I'm not really sure at this point. *She looked thoughtfully at the picture.* But it looks like we're all friendly in this picture. And all pretty different too.

Yeah, like this guy.

[ She places a finger right over Hank. ]

What's with him? He looks waaaaay too buff to be a doctor. I'm calling bullshit on that one.

I don't know. He looks like a bodybuilder. You can still be a bodybuilder and a doctor but unless the guy's a specialist, I don't know where he'd find the time. *Hank did look quite suspicious, didn't he?*

Maybe he's a secret security guard, dressing like a doctor so no one really pays attention. Then, when you got a problem, boom! He takes them down.

Somehow I think I'd notice someone that big walking around. *She looks at the other people in the picture, wondering what their stories were.* I wonder about this blacked haired guy. He looks so serious.
