EVERYONE'S TRUTH - BEGINNING
Since the second group's first Calhoun Hour, the mouse in question hasn't appeared in the warehouse for longer than 30 minutes at a time. He only arrives during the early mornings to tape a random fruit of the day (apples, oranges, and pears so far) before scurrying off with his wagon. He refuses to provide any sort of medical relief for any of the test subjects, and does nothing more but providing the bare minimum to survive. So, when Day 9 rolls around, three days since that faithful finger breaking/eye blinding experience, it's no different; Calhoun comes in, tapes up some bananas, then promptly leaves afterwards, all without a word. An hour after he leaves, though... The screen in the Greenhouse, up against the wall besides the entrance, finally comes to life for the first time. It flickers on and on, flashing brightly. At first, there's nothing but static. Soon enough, though, it stays a consistent green tint. A blinking cursor hovers at the bottom and stays there for a few seconds, before it begins to type. COME TO THE LOBBY AND GO THROUGH THE NEWLY OPENED DOOR I WILL MEET YOU THERE....... And it ends there... |
THE NEXT STEP
[ The next plan: to cut off the warehouse's power. ]
[ The newly opened door leads to a long and narrow hallway. Dusty and barely lit, it suggests that this area has not been maintained for quite some time... Eventually, the hallway ends and leads to another door. It slides open easily, and inside is a moderately sized room. It appears that there was once a plate above the entrance, perhaps the name of the room, but it has either fallen off or been taken. Nevertheless, this is where the outsider has mentioned that the power could be turned off, so get to looking. ]

What is this place? It looks a little like an office...

[Atsuro step inside the room and glance around. His eyes are drawn to the computer console and he makes his way over to examine it. A password input screen? Without a clue to what it is, he can't do anything about it... yet.]
A password, huh?
[He looks at either side of the console, noting the metal doors. Hm...]

[ Referring to the three pinned up, which she hasn't taken a look at yet because she comes across the little coffee table first, with the expired cream... ]
Aw, gross. This looks super old.

...I wonder if they lived and worked here... Whoever used this place before.
no subject
Maybe? It at least looks like someone worked here, but where'd they go?
no subject
[Gulp.]
M-might have done something to them, do you...?
no subject
But isn't that offing their own guys? That seems pointless and dumb.

[ While talking, she heads over to the tall filing cabinet to poke around. Unfortunately, she opens up the top drawers first (which are probably super heavy...), so she might not be able to poke around for too long. ]

...Nope, not ringing a bell.
He puts it down and start looking through the drawers and finding pieces of papers inside. Anything useful in here?]

[ However, should Atsuro dig through the top drawer enough and pull out enough pages, he will discover a small key at the bottom. It's unlabelled but is attached to a key ring. ]
no subject
He glance around the room and wondering if there's a place he can use this for.]
Hey! Anyone found a keyhole?
no subject
[ Referring to how the cabinet nearly fell on her. ]
Does it work on those metal doors?
no subject
[He looks over at them, before walking over for a closer examination. He pockets the key for safekeeping.]
These look like we need to use an electronic key to open them.
no subject
[ That's the only kind of electronic key that she knows about. ]
Rio and I didn't find anything like that over on our side.

There was a cabinet, and some messy desks, and a chair, but...
[She tilts her head to the side as she thinks.]
...I don't think anything over there would be useful for a door with an electric lock.
no subject
[He looks at them.]
What's this about a murderous cabinet? Was that the noise I heard earlier?
[WHAT HAPPENED.]

[ And most likely have more things that Ellie can nab and steal because fuck you, warehouse. She's going to take this stuff and get out with it :T but a small sheepish laugh at the mention of the noise... ]
Yeaaaaah, pretty much. You know, it was the kind of cabinet that try to squash you because they didn't meet their murder quota of the day.
