A M B I D E X  V O T I N G Everyone (besides one newbie) should know how things work by now: you leave your respective puzzle rooms, head downstairs to the first floor, swipe your Ambidex Room cards, and enter your elevator. Now, this is where it gets different, because here's your prizes for this round! For anyone who chooses Betray, and gets betrayed in return, well you get a nice can of food! What kind inside? That's a surprise! Oh, and 15 coins for each person. As for anyone who chooses Betray and their opponent chooses Ally, well, the reward is always much bigger! Calhoun toss in three cans of food, for those poor saps who don't have access to the cafeteria yet, and along with 50 whole coins, each for a PAIR! Amazing! That just might be enough to put some of you in a nice comfy spot where you can start buying food or amazing goodies in Calhoun's Corner: Sundries and Collectibles for the Discerning Test Subject. Isn't that just great? For anyone who chooses Ally, well, if your opponent chooses Ally as well, then you'll just get the usual BP increase. How boring, but at least you can be all lovely-dovely with each other. If you're the poor sap that chose Ally and got stabbed in the back, well, sorry, you only lose BP, but you might get a little something. He'll find you later about that. But anyway, happy voting! [Hershel is so gd relieved about your results, Sasuke, and it's kind of obvious as he walks over.] How was your first puzzle room, Sasuke?

[His tone is a touch dry because haha having your first puzzle room with Jake he's been there, also puzzle rooms, the most fun???]

It didn't go too badly.

Jake warned us about traps beforehand, so we went through everything before we tried to solve the puzzle.

[...Even if it was partially at Sasuke's request. Piper, slashing all the things was probably a bad idea.]

I never thought I'd hear that Jake was the cautious one. [He sounds pretty amused. So he could learn.]

I'm glad he- well, I'm glad everything went well. [And a tired look passes over his dot eyed face.] It... went well enough. We may have set off a trap, but no one got hurt, thankfully.

[Now he just looks concerned.]

Were you all able to avoid it, or...?

No, unfortunately not. I think Mr. Enjolras got the worst of it, at the very least none of us were seriously injured. Some of the traps are much more... violent.

[And he looks at the still closed elevator. What the hell was Enjolras doing.] ... he still hasn't come out. I hope he knows what he's doing.

[It's enough to make Sasuke take a look at the elevator too.]

-Is that the one he went into? Why hasn't he left yet?

I don't know... [There's an edge of almost, just barely there panic in his tone, because yeah Enjolras hadn't been doing well in that room, what if something happened? What if he was dead in there?

He swallows it down and continues a little more steadily.] He's been adamant about fighting Calhoun. I wonder if he's just protesting in there, refusing to leave.

[But... how would sitting in the elevator do anything...]

That trap you mentioned... You said he was the one hit the worst?

It's an unspoken rule. We must vote and do the puzzle rooms, but Calhoun never said anything about needing to leave the AB rooms.

[At least he hoped that was Enjolras's thought process. Given their last talk it seemed likely, but...]

Yes... he was hallucinating for far longer than Ema or I, or at least in a far more aggressive way. [He continued staring at the AB room, frowning.] He seemed better when we left, but- but perhaps I was wrong.

...He's trying to take back power by refusing to play exactly the way Calhoun wants?

It's hard to say... If he allied, it's possible he didn't even enter his vote. That's the way it defaults, isn't it?

Yes, that's his idea. He was practicing it in certain ways in the puzzle room too, though more... destruction of property.

[Sigh.] I wonder if asking Calhoun to open the doors would even work.

...Calhoun let him get away with that?

[He was... sort of under the impression that if the cameras caught them messing with things, they'd be in trouble for it.]

It's probably worth trying. [If only to make sure he's alright in there.]

Calhoun gets annoyed with such things but I've never seen someone punished for it besides traps. I've always wondered what would happen if part of the puzzle was broken and couldn't be solved...

[He probably didn't want to know what would happen, he had a feeling it would involve death and suffering and fun things like that.]

[He nods.] You're right, I'm going to go talk to him. [Determination >B(! He offers a somewhat weak smile to Sasuke before heading off to find Calhoun. He'll be back in a while, if you'd like to continue, what a party this will be]
