ambidex voting #6
![]() Chop chop, everyone downstairs to the first floor! You're all done the puzzle rooms, so you know what to do. Well, most of you, but it's pretty basic, just enter any Ambidex Room you like (they're not elevators, you ignorant test subjects) then vote! How does voting work? Very simple! Pick Ally or Betray, and that's it! But with every round, there's always some prizes, depending on what you vote, so here's this rounds: For anyone who chooses Ally, well, if your opponent chooses Ally as well, then 2BP for each of you. Then you'll also get those lovely-dovely butterfly feelings of friendship, blah blah. Well, that's it! For anyone who chooses Betray, and gets a Betray in return, your BP doesn't change at all, but you do get two cans of food and 15 coins for each person, so that's something. Now, here's the fun part: for anyone who chooses Betray and their opponent chooses Ally, Calhoun will be very generous with his prizes. You'll get two cans of food and a medical kit! He knows that some of you here really needs one, with how awful you are at puzzles or just plain dumb, so he'll give one med kit full of things that you need! If you're a SOLO, you get one for yourself. If you're a PAIR, well, you'll have to share one, but at least this is better than nothing. Also, as usual, those who pick Betray get 3BP instead of just 2. But if you're the poor sap that chose Ally and got stabbed in the back, well, sorry, you lose 2 BP. At least you got stabbed for the greater good, right? And plus, you might get a little something. He'll talk to you later about it. But anyway, happy voting! Calhoun will see all of you later with the results. |

And yeah, he rubbed his arm with a soft sigh. "It doesn't make sense to let us go, with memories or without. It's risky, even if we didn't remember anything we're still evidence out in the world. I can't... I can't imagine Zero would be foolish enough to take such a pointless risk."
He glanced back to Heiji, frowning. "That means we really must find our own way out. It might even be better to not reach 63 BP, for all we know it's a death sentence."

"So I think what we really gotta start doing is investigating the warehouse, right? Or wherever we got access to right now. Trying to think of a way out, at least. Even being able to locate some place where they can't see us would be a good start."
no subject
"That may be possible, though there are so many variables... You realize we'd need to test the blind spots if we figured them out, do something that would garner their attention to see just how blind they are. It could be dangerous."
no subject
"Well, maybe there's no point in worrying about that. Sure didn't stop whoever hurt Akiko. Anyway, I figure I'd be pretty good at finding cameras, but... what could we do to test their attention? I ain't real keen on getting electrocuted, and too many tests would probably make them suspicious."

And that was the hard question. Hershel frowned and put a hand to his chin as he thought it over. "It'd have to be something they'd without a doubt make comment on if they saw it- Calhoun, more so. The best I can think of would be something that bends an unspoken rule without breaking any of the rules, such as Snake when he stole food for Clive."
He dropped his arm as he continued, brow furrowed. "Honestly I'm not so sure what that could be. This is also only assuming they can't hear what we're saying now. If they can then it's likely they'll ignore it just so we think we have some sort of advantage."
no subject
"Plus, we wouldn't be able to make it obvious that that's what we were looking for. I mean, if they notice us goin' around staring at all the cameras, that's gonna be a problem, too."
Lollerskates, being constantly monitored was so much fun.

He sighed, smiling because yeah this was ridiculous. "Honestly no matter what we do it's going to be a risk, what a mess of 'they'll let us think this while we let them think that.'" Life was seriously a spy movie. Or Death Note.

And let's face it who better to come up with a code than these nerds.
no subject
"That's brilliant, Heiji. We'll have to make sure it's not too obviously a code, or else Calhoun and Zero will certainly try to crack it and keep a closer eye out. We'll have to keep it hidden in the mundane."
no subject
That's right, Heiji wanted to develop this code without ever discussing it in words, because of course someone might be listening. Pointlessly hard challenge? MAYBE. But just the effort that went into thinking one up was almost as rewarding as the end project itself. And could it not be said that codes were basically puzzles?
no subject
"That sounds like quite the challenge." A puzzle, if you will. "But I think I can manage if you can." Strangely a little competitive again?? You bring out the worst or possible best in him, depending on who you ask.
