ambidex voting #7

A M B I D E X  V O T I N G

Chop chop, everyone downstairs to the first floor! You're all done the puzzle rooms, so you know what to do. Well, most of you, but it's pretty basic, just enter any Ambidex Room you like (they're not elevators, you ignorant test subjects) then vote! How does voting work? Very simple! Pick Ally or Betray, and that's it! But with every round, there's always some prizes, depending on what you vote, so here's this rounds:

For anyone who chooses Ally, well, if your opponent chooses Ally as well, then 2BP for each of you. You get all that friendship, blah blah, whatever.

For anyone who chooses Betray, and gets a Betray in return, your BP doesn't change at all, but you do get two cans of food and 15 coins for each person, what, you have a problem with it being the same as last time? We're busy over here, quit your bellyaching.

Now, the best part: for anyone who chooses Betray and their opponent chooses Ally, Calhoun will be very generous with his prizes, again! You'll get two cans of food and a memory! We're switching it up a bit. Also, as usual, those who pick Betray get 3BP instead of just 2.

But if you're the poor sap that chose Ally and got stabbed in the back, well, sorry, you lose 2 BP. At least you got stabbed for the greater good, right? And plus, you might get a little something. He'll talk to you later about it.

But anyway, happy voting! Calhoun will see all of you later with the results.

"She ain't the only one." JAKE.

"It's kinda like you said. Kuzuryuu, I mean. Seems like a pretty stand-up guy, but I bet if we were back home, his folks would wash his mouth out with soap." Not that Heiji was above the occasional bout of swearing, but Kuzuryuu seemed especially fond of it.

Have the deepest, most tired sigh. Yup. Yuuuup. "You should have seen the pair of them when we were trying to clean up, stubbornly trying to fuss the other into taking care of themselves first. It would have been sweet if they weren't both so pigheaded." Might as well gossip, it's the best regardless of situations.

And Hershel looked vaguely amused at that. "I told him he was being crass with his language and he- well, let's say he didn't try and tone it down. I wonder who he really is, his clothes are rather elaborate and well made yet he curses like a sailor." Weirdest fancy rich kid ever?

Heiji put a hand to his chin in thought. "With that blond hair and the tough guy act, I'd assume he was some kinda delinquent. But the suit makes him look like a loan shark or somethin'. Or maybe a baby yakuza?"

Haha, what a cast of characters they had. "Maybe ya should find some way to undo his tie, see if he can retie it for himself. That'd be a hint, right?"

After all, he was so small maybe someone had helped him put the suit on

Blond hair makes him a delinquent? Japan was a mysterious place. "Yakuza... isn't that the japanese equivalent of the mob?" Well. The mob wore nice suits right, he could see it.

Hershel tried not to look amused. "Maybe we should try to convince him to teach you how to tie a tie. Any proper wealthy private school boy would know how, right?"

"They're organized crime syndicates. Some of them do drug trafficking, human trafficking, gambling, protection rackets... 'course, sometimes they come out and help folks out when there's a disaster or something. So yeah, I guess they are a little like the mob." It was... complicated.

Heiji looked positively offended. "Hey, you sayin' I can't work a tie by myself?" Not that... he knew for a fact that he could, but he was REASONABLY SURE.

Hershel just blinked. "That... sounds both sinister and strangely cooperative of them. Well, he'd be far too young to be involved in anything like that, right?" Right??

And have a raised brow. "Well... I'm saying I doubt Kuzuryuu would be surprised if you said you couldn't." Rude, Hershel. Rude. "Can you?"

Heiji gave this a few moments' thought. "Well, I ain't know how old he is, so I couldn't really tell you. He doesn't seem like a bad guy, though." Yeah, he just... dressed bad.

And. Another pause. "I don't know," Heiji admitted finally. "I need to borrow someone's tie to find out."

"I think he's about our age, he definitely looks younger but the way he acts-" Hershel shrugged. It was just a guess, really, no proof other than a feeling on the matter. "Maybe he's a bit younger? Sasuke seems a bit younger too."

"Well, there is one person who has an intact tie right now." He said with a small smile. "That is, if Kuzuryuu would let us borrow it. I for one am very curious to see if you can or not. We may need to add that to your etiquette lessons."
