A M B I D E X  V O T I N G Chop chop, everyone downstairs to the first floor! You're all done the puzzle rooms, so you know what to do. Well, most of you, but it's pretty basic, just enter any Ambidex Room you like (they're not elevators, you ignorant test subjects) then vote! How does voting work? Very simple! Pick Ally or Betray, and that's it! But with every round, there's always some prizes, depending on what you vote, so here's this rounds: For anyone who chooses Ally, well, if your opponent chooses Ally as well, then 2BP for each of you. You get all that friendship, blah blah, whatever. For anyone who chooses Betray, and gets a Betray in return, your BP doesn't change at all, but you might get some coins for your trouble, let's saaaay, 20? Generous, I know. Now, the best part: for anyone who chooses Betray and their opponent chooses Ally, Calhoun will be very generous with his prizes, again! You'll get 15 coins and a memory! Also, as usual, those who pick Betray get 3BP instead of just 2. But if you're the poor sap that chose Ally and got stabbed in the back, well, sorry, you lose 2 BP. At least you got stabbed for the greater good, right? And plus, you might get a little something. He'll talk to you later about it. But anyway, happy voting! [Simon's familiar with everyone on that betray/betray team, so he's... pretty... sure... that was kuzuryuu's fault..........

but in any case. He spent his cooking contest money on a red hoodie, which he's wearing pulled up over his head while his hands are shoved deep in his pockets. He has some people to see - he's got a present for Ema, he's gotta catch up with Sasuke and Clive, he wants to see how everyone's doing after their puzzle rooms... lots of fun simon times for everyone. He'll mostly be wandering around the warehouse like a lost sheep until he bumps into someone he knows.]

[Clive's just leaning against a wall in the lobby with his arms crossed, gaze fixed towards the floor. He seems to be pretty sad for a guy who just had an Ally/Ally round. But when he notices Simon, he looks up at him and forces a smile.]

Ah, Simon! How've you been doing lately? I feel like it's been a while since we last spoke.

[Oh, it's Clive! Simon's in a pretty decent mood, even if he seems to be slightly concerned and preoccupied with looking over his shoulder a lot - he kiiinda called Jake a jerk in the puzzle room, so part of him is expecting to be murdered for that at some point. But. He's just happy to see a friendly face, even if he hasn't quite picked up on Clive's mood yet.]

Hey. I-I'm good. Jake and Piper are really scary people, and I was totally expecting a different result, but we both allied and I'm, like, totally surprised. How are you?

[He can't help but laugh at Simon's assessment of Jake and Piper.]

I wouldn't be afraid of those two. They're all bark and no bite, especially Jake.

[Good thing neither of them are around to hear that..........]

Oh, me? I'm fine. Perfectly fine. [Said rather unconvincingly, and then he IMMEDIATELY CHANGES THE SUBJECT] By the way, Heiji told me about what happened after the cooking contest. I hope you're feeling better now.

[Simon almost certainly catches the insincerity in Clive's voice, and a brief look of concern flashes across his face... but mentioning the cooking contest disaster adequately distracts him for a moment.]

Y-Yeah, I'm okay now. Whatever happened - getting sick, or whatever it was - it only lasted, like, a day or two. [He runs a hand through his hair in thought and then immediately shoves it back into his pocket.] But... I still don't know why we got sick. Maybe Calhoun just poisoned one of the ingredients at random and we were the lucky two to end up with it...?

[buuut he sighs, mumbles something like "i guess it doesn't matter" under his breath and then immediately starts interrogating Clive.]

But, come on, dude. There's totally no way you're "perfectly fine". I can tell.

[Gosh darn it, Simon, stop being so perceptive. But if he thinks that Clive is going to give in that easily then he is sorely mistaken.]

Why would you think that? I couldn't possibly be better. Heiji and Hershel allied with me, I no longer have to worry about when my next meal will be... I may have burned a few bridges along the way, but it seems that things are finally looking up for me now. I have nothing to be upset about.

That's... true, but. [Simon folds his arms over his chest. He chews his bottom lip, and he briefly seems convinced by Clive that nothing's wrong, but. buuuuuuut.]

Maybe something happened in your puzzle room...? [like maybe he got too close to Hershel's afro and it zapped him real bad thanks to all the static electricity that thing must carry?] I-I mean, when me and Sasuke and Enjolras were all in a room together, we allied and stuff, but that was the most miserable I've ever been in this place.

I mean... you don't have to tell me if anything's wrong, but - we're friends, right? I thought we were, at least....

[Clive lets out a sigh.]

Of course we're friends, Simon. Actually, you've just reminded me of one thing that I'm rather concerned about. I have to go up against Sasuke and Enjolras next round. I don't know the first thing about Enjolras, and Sasuke... [He's one shady motherfucker.] Have you spoken to him recently? I noticed him slipping out of the room after the results went up with his tail between his legs, metaphorically speaking.

Heiji kinda sorta didn't like hanging out in the warehouse because it was cold and there was nothing to sit on and it kind of sucked all around. So instead he was just chilling out on the grass over in the garden when he spotted Simon and gave him a little wave.

"Hey, feelin' better?"

HE ABSOLUTELY DOES even if the tone of this tag says otherwise

[When Heiji calls out to Simon, he instantly flinches and turns a little pale. He makes a strangled kind of eek!! noise and searches for somewhere to hide - the first place he sees is a small, skinny tree, so he runs straight towards it. He trips, of course, faceplanting in front of it, but he scrambles back to his feet and hides behind it a second later. His hood fell off in the getaway, so his stupid red pigtails are totally visible from behind the trunk, but. MAYBE HEIJI WON'T NOTICE]

I-I'm not-- I'm not Simon! It's-- I'm Calhoun! So... don't come over here, or -- or you'll get totally punished!

Was this... a new kind of game? Heiji wasn't really sure. Simon was like a pigtailed space alien sometimes.

He stood up and walked over to Simon, hands in his pockets. "You seem a little tall and, y'know. Not furry. What's up? Someone been pickin' on you or something?"

[Wuah. Simon flinches again when Heiji somehow manages to track him down in his top secret hiding place, but then he just kinda. Sighs.]

N-No. No way. I just thought you were gonna yell at me or something, because, like - you know. [Simon vaguely waves his hands through the air. The Baumkuchen Disaster.]

"Nah," said Heiji, waving a hand. "Though I am going to take a pass on your next cake. No offense or anything."

Yes, the Baumkuchen Disaster...

"Anyway, congratulations on surviving a room with Jake. Though usually if he doesn't touch anything, it goes okay." He had such a sterling opinion of Jake. Well, no... Jake was okay, he was just really bad at not punching things.

[Simon seems a little hurt at first, but that is because he is dumb and apparently has way too much emotional dependence on the success of his desserts. He pulls his hood back over his head and hides his face.]

Listen - don't take this the wrong way, okay? I'm not saying this because I want you to cheer me up, or anything, but - I-I should have been able to tell there was something wrong with the food. It's my fault we got sick. I should have been more careful. So... I just want you to know that I'm, like, sorry. Yeah.

[He tucks his knees up against his chest and just. rushes on to the next topic.]

But, um - it was a pretty scary room. Jake and Piper... they're kinda intimidating, huh? [he pauses.] But - I've been practicing that whole bigger than king kong thing you taught me, so I got through it without fainting even once.

*Snake isn't quite familiar with Simon's footsteps so he doesn't know who he's near.* Hello?

[When Simon hears someone's voice calling out to him, he stands perfectly still, like a deer in headlights. He's an idiot, so he briefly wonders if Snake's voice belongs to, like, Calhoun or something.]

H-Hello?

Oh, hello, Simon. Did things go well for you on voting? *Since no one had given him the results other than what he knew for his own group.*

[oh, it's just snake! haha. simon feels dumb. he runs his fingers through his hair and then ambles closer to snake so they can actually talk face to face.]

Y-Yeah. It looks like every team hit ally except for, um... [snake's and kuzuryuu.]

What, um - what happened in there? Why did you guys do that? I've never seen a Betray/Betray before...

I didn't realize that the other two members of my team seem to have some kind of disagreement with each other. I'm not sure what the details are but I could tell by the tones of their voices.

[The most important and interesting tag I can make right now is clearly Hershel pausing when he sees Simon bumbling around.]

Simon, where- [Right.] Oh, did you buy that hoodie from the shop? [Rivetting rp entertainment 24 hours a day.]

[oh, hershel! simon's face lights up 'cause he loves his best friend hershel and absolutely doesn't secretly want to punch him in the face. he does a little twirl to show off his hoodie, then realizes that's embarrassing and stupid, so he just freezes mid-pirouette and stands perfectly still. to the point that it's kind of uncomfortable to watch.]

Yeah. I had some money, and I thought, um - it gets kinda cold in the warehouse at night. [or whenever it is they sleep]

How did your last puzzle room go? I heard that you kinda fainted, or something. I've been worried. That's, like, a really big deal, you know? [okay it's not that big of a deal for simon, because he faints basically every twenty minutes, but still, it SOUNDS like it would be a big deal for a normal person]

[Wow, that was painful to watch. Hershel smiles though because idk he's seen worse probably, from Simon himself, so I guess this isn't actually all that bad. At least no one was thinking they were loving poolboys or whatever.]

Good idea, I've been tempted to try it a few times too but- [He glances towards wherever Calhoun is yucking it up.] -frankly I wasn't sure Calhoun wouldn't just use it as an excuse to give me a single sock.

[Hershel almost pointed out he's seen Simon faint like twenty million times or twice but he decides to not be a shitlord, Simon was being nice and caring and a friend.] It went pretty well, I wasn't too worried, Heiji and Clive are probably the best at puzzles here. I guess I didn't really get to see all of it though. [He shrugs, kind of embarrassed.] It's nothing to worry about though, but thank you for your concern.

[Simon blinks a few times, and then goes pale, all nervous and scared.]

I-I didn't-- I didn't think of that. Why did he give me a hoodie? Why didn't he give me a single sock or something? Do-- do you think there's something wrong with this? Was it naive of me to think this could all work out? [He pulls the hoodie off over his head, so now he's just wearing his weird mask shirt.] Th-this was a bad idea... the thread must have been poisoned or the red must be the blood of my family or - or something... I'm gonna die...

[oh but right the fainting thing. after staring in horror at his hoodie for a couple seconds longer he snaps to attention and realizes hershel's health is more important than his dumb bullshit]

O-Oh. But - um - that's - that's good? I'm glad you're not... like, dead, or anything. [he pauses.] You and Clive and Heiji are all friends, right?

[Oh no what has he done.] I'm sure it's just random, Simon, you don't need to- [Strip. Please stop last time was bad enough Kuzuryuu was going to pass out if he saw this.] Um, we can try washing it if it'll make you feel better?

[Because poison or whatever. And he smiles a bit at Simon's last question.] Yes, I consider Heiji and Clive good friends. I knew Clive before coming here too, I think I may have mentioned it.

[speaking of which, he suddenly notices Hershel's bracelet.] I guess we're going to be together next round, though? That's good! I hope it'll be us and Sasuke or something... [as long as kuzu's not the third he'll be happy]
