Chop chop, everyone downstairs to the first floor! You're all done the puzzle rooms, so you know what to do. Well, most of you, but it's pretty basic, just enter any Ambidex Room you like (they're not elevators, you ignorant test subjects) then vote! How does voting work? Very simple! Pick Ally or Betray, and that's it! But with every round, there's always some prizes, depending on what you vote, so here's this rounds:

For anyone who chooses Ally, well, if your opponent chooses Ally as well, then 2BP for each of you. You get all that friendship, blah blah, whatever.

For anyone who chooses Betray, and gets a Betray in return, your BP doesn't change at all, but you do get two cans of food and 15 coins for each person, what, you have a problem with it being the same as last time? We're busy over here, quit your bellyaching.

Now, the best part: for anyone who chooses Betray and their opponent chooses Ally, Calhoun will be very generous with his prizes, again! You'll get two cans of food and a memory! We're switching it up a bit. Also, as usual, those who pick Betray get 3BP instead of just 2.

But if you're the poor sap that chose Ally and got stabbed in the back, well, sorry, you lose 2 BP. At least you got stabbed for the greater good, right? And plus, you might get a little something. He'll talk to you later about it.

But anyway, happy voting! Calhoun will see all of you later with the results.

[there honestly is nothing to be done for it, she knows, and it leaves a warmth in her chest and a guilty lump she can't swallow around and a weight shifts that starts her breath hitching, and of course it's all downhill from there.

nevertheless, she takes his hand and clutches it tightly, not letting him escape, not yet.]

[Oh no, he's having so many feelings now too god damnit. If he could hug her he totally would, but kind of awkward positioning so he just squeezes her arm, placing his other hand on her back - carefully, he remembers the stupid shrapnel bandage shit - and trying to dredge up a smile for when she's ready to look up again.

He debates saying something, because maybe he should, but he's not really sure that'd help all that much. In a way he wants to say it'll be alright but even he's not that gd naive, shit sucked and it was only going to suck harder.]

[awkward or no, she leans against him, holds tightly anyway. She doesn't allow herself to say any of the terribly soppy blubbering that comes to mind--ending the night by dying of embarrassment really isn't on her to-do list--but it still takes a while to let go, sniffling and wiping violently at her face]

As much as he wished she didn't have such a shitty life that breakdowns like this happened he was kind of happy she was letting it out. [and then she shakes her head and straightens a bit, not exactly ignoring his question, but-- well either way, doing a better job of drying her face]

Anyway... Anyway, should get this over with, right?

Like now. [Bam. He nods, the british part of him wants to offer her a handkerchief but all he had was scraps of moldy sheet and he's pretty sure she'd punt him into next year if he gave her that.

He stands a bit stiffly before offering her a hand and a small smile, reassuring and what not.] The sooner the better, I'd say. Last I saw Calhoun he was by his shop, he'll probably be over there again.

[no moldy sheet, honestly the only reason she let Jake be wrapped up in it was because he blew them up and deserved punishment but she'll still feel bad if he catches mold from this.

Anyway, Ema takes his hand to get to her feet; her return expression is less than reassuring but--well, she promised, more or less. So heading to Calhoun is a thing that is going to happen. Ugh]

[He'll deserve it for not agreeing to the damn shower. And also I guess getting them into this situation to begin with.

He's going to keep an hand on her arm, support, mostly physical since he's kind of afraid she's going to just keel over and sleep on the floor but also emotional and what not, multipurpose and all that. When they reach Calhoun's shop he resists a soft sigh and calls out.]

Calhoun? We're here about the supplies.

[ And summoned from the depths of hell itself is Calhoun. ]

Hellooooo- wow, Pseudoscience Test Subject, I gotta say, the half dead complexion really works for you!

[ He shakes a paw. ] Alright, enough pleasantries, you finally ready to make a deal?

[so the one and only bonus of slow concussion reaction time is that by the time she thinks to get angry and snap a reply, the timing for it is past, so maybe she can get out of this without being drugged. Either way, she does her best to look disaffected and totally fine gosh.]

So, what's involved in this medical supply racket you've got going?

[ This will be a new record time for their conversations not ending in drugging, then. ]

It's pretty simple, even you could get it! All I need is 15 BP and the name of who's getting the supplies and there you are! I'll even let you see the supplies for yourself beforehand, being the handsome and generous mouse that I am.

Well, you test subjects have a name? Can I guess?

It's for Ema. [not playing along with that friend.] We want to split out BP to get them for her, seven and eight.

Sure thing, British Test Subject, you know how much I love all this nauseating teamwork.

[ He scampers away, returning in a couple of minutes dragging what looked like a plastic case with him. He leaves it at their feet with a little huff, inside are a variety of things Ema would probably need- bandages, gauze, disinfectant, maybe twine for some proper stitching if that was still a thing that needed to happen, painkillers, antibiotics. Feel free to assume if she clearly needed it given her condition, it's there.

There's also pointedly only enough to comfortably treat a single person properly for a while, Zero was either stingy or didn't want people sharing and caring too much. ]

Well? All you need to do is tell me who's giving seven and who's giving eight, shake my paw, and we're alllllll happy.

[ He holds out his paw pretty pointedly to Ema, very much amused by all of this. ] Do we have a deal?

...Fine.

[she leaves his paw hanging, not least because she can't help but want to punch that smug smirk off his stupid mask]

I'll give nine, he'll give six. Perfect square deal.

[he glances over at that, frowning because come on nerd but. fine okay honestly he wasn't going to push this when he was nervous she might just change her mind completely and hobble off into the sunset.

so with a small sigh he nods to Calhoun.] Six it is then.

[ Do it and end another conversation with drugging. ]

[ Calhoun shrugs. ] Suit yourself!

And viola! [ Both their bracelets will reflect the change, 9 points now for Ema, 12 for Hershel. He kicks the box towards them and turns away, snickering. ]

Nice doing business with you, try not to use it all in one sitting, hmmm?

[frankly hershel was hovering there like he really expected ema to try and roundhouse kick calhoun's face and get drugged for it. proud of you ema, you made a good life decision!! you're learning kind of

and just to ruin her cool guy not looking at explosions a nervous british kid follows after her, staying close by again incase she needed support. or fell. both.]

I wonder where we'd even start with all that, maybe Jake would know more about this sort of first aid. [he sure as hell doesn't. still going to try and help, though.]

[oh man, that would've been super sweet, she is gonna need to get ninja lessons from Sasuke or something, try that next time]

Painkillers're a great place to start.

[she has to sit down before she can really take stock of the haul, with her luck she'll drop it and send precious pills and sterile bandages flying into more moldy sheets]

he takes a seat next to her, leaning over a little to curiously regard her winnings or whatever the heck they should be called.] I can imagine... you should probably eat something with those, though.

[and he shakes his head.] I don't need anything I don't already have, if you're going to give anything to anyone I'd say give a roll of bandages to Jake. Goodness knows he'll need them.

[there was a bit of self-control, how is that not learning]

[and eating though... She frowns at the idea; scientifically speaking sure yes stomach lining was great and you need blood sugar and enzymes and other biology words but in practice the idea of food still makes her nauseous. She is uncertain on the odds of being able to dry swallow the horse pills though... As for the other supplies, it's mostly a case of properly cleaning and setting the wounds. Stitches will have to wait. Having no doctor in the box is a hassle.

Roused with this temporary plan of action (what plan??), she tidies up and heads to the cafeteria. ...oh right, she'd been talking]

'M not giving him anything. If he knows it's there, he'll just do dumber stuff. Compensated risk, or whatever it's called.

[you then decided to escalate it to possible knife attacks though...

Ema's mind was a mysterious place, and for a moment hershel wasn't exactly sure where she was headed because share with the class man, but wait duh food, right. he gets up and follows after.]

Ema, you say that as though he wouldn't do stupid things regardless. [such high opinions of jake over here.] To be fair I doubt he'd take the bandages anyway, I can't believe how stubborn you two are sometimes.
