ambidex voting #15
![]() Once everyone exits their respective rooms, Zero's voice will be heard over the speakers: "Proceed into the Ambidex Rooms and cast your vote. You will be given 45 minutes to decide." And with that, the elevator doors open and the PA system turns itself off. It seems as if there are no rewards or any of that nonsense this time around... |

And he shook his head. "Snake's always been private, I'm sure he just needs some time to get his bearings- and no, no blankets or pillows. I'm sure Zero would use that as an excuse to punish you again." He had absolutely no doubt Zero wouldn't be generous enough to let them share anything, he's an asshole. "Don't worry, I've gotten used to the grass. Far more comfortable than the bloddy warehouse floor, that's for sure."
no subject
"...Well, if you say so." Heiji supposed Hershel was right about that one, but seeing him so bleary did make him worry. "But if you're not going to accept any blankets or anything, I want you to lie down right now. You're going to try and go to sleep before you fall over."
no subject
Hershel looked reluctant to go with it for a variety of reasons he seemed to consider arguing, but thankfully he's enough of a doormat that he just sighed after a moment. "I suppose you're right, as usual. I think I've seen everyone anyway." He didn't lie down immediately though, instead he glanced to Heiji. "You should go find Snake while I'm sleeping, assuming Zero will allow it. It'll make you feel better if nothing else."
no subject
"Don't worry, I will. But don't you try to weasel out of this, either! Here, I'll help ya get comfortable." And now he was just going to... fluff up Hershel's fro in the back, I mean it needed to be nice and soft when he was lying down on it, right.
no subject
"I wouldn't dream of it." He would dream of it but shh. He turned to stare a moment, a little slower on the uptake because lack of sleep but when he realized what Heiji was doing he couldn't help but laugh. "Heiji, you're bizarre." He said, amused before shaking his head and lying down.
He casted a discrete glance at his bracelet, wondering if this would be like every other time for the past few days. Still, Heiji was free of it and Hershel's had been lessened too so... hope springs eternal. "Go find Snake, you barmy thing." He couldn't help a yawn, he had been riding on adrenaline from the room for a while but now that he was being forced to lie down yeah. Yeah. It won't take very long for him to fall asleep and..... no shock, yay. Feel free to come find him hours and hours later, otherwise you did good Heiji, you did good.

"Hey, don't laugh, and don't blame me if you get a crick in your neck from sleeping funny!" But yes, finding Snake.
After Heiji found Snake, though, he'd check in on Hershel. Or more accurately, he'd secretly stick some flowers in Hershel's fro while he was sleeping. Never mind the teenager hovering over you while you were catching some well-earned rest, Hershel...

Heiji you punk. He probably gets away with quite a few until Hershel blearily started waking up, turning over to stare at the ceiling a moment. "Heiji...?" He murmured as he sat up. He didn't even notice several petals and leaves falling out as he does. "What time is it? Was I-" Oh, he was totally asleep and not knocked out or something. He can't help a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness, bloody Zero..."
"Oh, did you find Snake? Is he alright?" Okay he's mostly awake now, why are there petals in his lap... He just stared at them a moment, confused, before focusing again on Heiji.
no subject
"O-oh, yeah. I did find him. He's back to his old self; I guess I was worried about him for nothin'." Heiji's color did seem the slightest bit higher than usual, but it was nothing to worry about, moving along...
"How about you? Did ya have a nice dream?"
no subject
"Well, that's good. You sound much more upbeat as well, I suppose it just takes a while for the shock of something like that to wear off. Have you seen Sasuke?" He asked, before shaking his head. "I think I had a dream that Jake was trying to sell a robot arm-"
As he was speaking he went to run a hand through his hair to stop any bedhead, pausing when several flowers fell out instead. He stared at one a moment, picking it up before giving Heiji a Look. "You were sticking things in my hair, weren't you." BUSTED.
no subject
Yeah, he totally did it.
"I did see Sasuke. Told him about his memory, too -- most of it. From the way he was actin', I didn't think it was a good idea to go into all the details."
no subject
And fun flowers aside- "I'm sure whatever it was it couldn't be easy knowing someone else lived through it now too, especially someone as private as Sasuke. It may be better to make sure he knows all the details though, I'm sure he'll get this memory back one day. At least then he'd be fully prepared." He paused. "Do you know whose memory Snake got back?"
no subject
Heiji sighed. "It's not really what happened, exactly; it's how he felt about it. You know how he's always down on himself. Well, he was down on himself in his memory, too -- real hard, y'know? Not sure if it'd even be helpful to tell him that. How would ya even tell him somethin' like that? 'Wow, Sasuke, ya sure were feeling bad about it when it happened'?"
"Snake got one of Clive's recollections. Other than that, I didn't ask him too much. He seemed pretty shaken up by it..."
no subject
"I see, I suppose you have a point." Hershel sighed, picking at the petals of one of the flowers he liberated from his hair idly. "I imagine something like that wouldn't be high on Sasuke's list of pleasant topics to discuss. Still, he might want to know the full extent of what you've experienced for himself. Maybe when he's had more time to process everything you should bring it up, give him the choice to hear more and what not."
Oh boy, he frowned. "If it was a visual memory it must have been a sensory overload. Poor Clive and Sasuke, they're such private people, this must be horrendous to them." He shook his head. "I suppose we all will have to deal with it sooner or later though."
no subject
"Anyway, as far as memories go, it coulda been worse. I mean, Jake coulda gotten Clive's memory." No one got stabbed or electrocuted, it was a win in Heiji's book... for now.
no subject
"I think Jake will actually try to keep it secret regardless of who it was, he's quite upset about the whole thing." 'Upset' was a little mild but you know.

Even if he couldn't really agree on the not telling Sasuke front, but wayyyy too much of a doormat to push that anymore with only the information he had.
no subject
Well. As okay as possible, anyway. "So you feel like gettin' something to eat? You been asleep for a while now."
no subject
He considered a moment- he really didn't feel all that hungry but appetite was a little hard to come by when the menu was grey, grey, lumps and more grey. "Yes, I suppose I should- we should, really. To the cafeteria, then?" And he paused a moment. "You don't happen to have any plastic, or something that could cover a burn without getting caught in the wound like gauze would?"
Hershel you should probably explain why you want this instead of standing there, looking thoughtful about it.

Was it Jake, it was always Jake...

He shrugged a bit helplessly, medical knowledge, who did he look like, a handsome Japanese doctor just trying to make it to a better tomorrow. "Maybe leaving it be would be better then."
no subject
Although if he didn't, too late now.
no subject
He really needed to learn first aid...
no subject
"But Jake knows first aid, right? He should at least know enough to dunk his hand in some water afterwards." So why didn't he? Pride? Because he'd deemed the injury minor?
As they arrived in the cafeteria, Heiji grabbed a tray. "You know what, we never really got around to talking about how to treat wounds, did we? Let's do that after this."
no subject
He paused as he grabbed his tray. "Really, you wouldn't mind? The more any of us know the better, I suppose. With the way things are going-" He shrugged. He kind of expected a few injuries this round of rooms.
