CALHOUN HOUR - Get ready to party!

Every third day, there would normally be an Ambidex Round going on, but today, it's different. Calhoun still screeches for everyone to wake up, that will never change, but instead of trying to rush people into a Chromatic Door, he instead splits everyone up into groups. Child Test Subject (Kariya) with Fancy Test Subject (Zelos)! That's Team One. Team Two will have the Nice Test Subject (Hershel), Hat-wearing Test Subject (Akiko), and Ditzy Test Subject (Aoi)! Team Three is the Giant Test Subject (Jake), Also Nice Test Subject (Colette), and the Blind Test Subject (Light)! Finally, the rest will be Team Four, with Tiny Test Subject (Clive), Mean Test Subject (Heiji), and Will-Gladly-Drug-Again Test Subject (Ema). Oh, why is Team One having only two people instead of three? Where is the French Test Subject (Enjorlas)? Well, he got sick too, there must be something going around, so he was also quarantined for this moment, but don't worry, Team One! Calhoun has something up his sleeves for you, so you're not missing out. But anyway, each team needs to go into an AB Room and stay in there. This is going to be a fun game, and anyone who refuses? Well, then he can gladly make those bracelets go off, and then you can have a nice long death. It's up to you, really, but let's make this easy and have fun inside the rooms, okay? POST-GAME MINGLE

[ After finishing your game, you are let out of your AB Room. Up on the warehouse lobby's screen will be the score of your game, how many stars and coins you've had at the end of the game. If you've had any stars, you can exchange them for various things! ]

[ Three stars will buy you one bp or one memory. If you have six, for example, you could exchange them for two bp, two memories or one memory and one bp. Good deal! ]

[ If you only have one or two stars Calhoun may be kind of enough to make an exchange with you, for coins. Cash in those extra stars for coins, two stars gives you ten, one gives you five. Heck, if you really wanted you could cash in three for fifteen, but isn't a nice warm memory to keep you company on these cold nights so much better? ]

[ What about coins though? If you have had any coins... Well, you'll see what happens if you have coins! ]

[ But mingle, talk to others, punch people for stealing stars, etc! ]

[Zelos practically skips out of his AB room, wearing the biggest smirk that anyone could possibly imagine. It's pretty obvious from his expression that he was the winner of the round, but did it necessitate being that glad?]

[Yes, yes it did.]

[After taking a look at the board, he'll go around and mingle with everyone else as they exit their AB rooms. He'll also probably take the time to find his favorite mouse and taunt him so more. Either way, he'll be smiling the rest of the day.]

Heiji had done pretty well, all things considered! And Clive couldn't really fault him for stealing that star after Ema had stolen it in turn, right?

Mostly, he was just kind of interested in how everyone else had made out. And of course, there were those stars and coins to think over.

"A memory or 1 BP, huh?" He crossed his arms. "Guess this one's a little tougher than I thought." If he wanted to get out of here as quickly as possible, going for the extra BP would make more sense. On the other hand, he was curious...

[Akiko is definitely looking a little down when she trudges out of the AB room, walking over to the screen to stare at her result:

[She's trying hard not to sound too disappointed, but... Her voice is certainly lacking in cheer right now. She could have gotten some BP for access to the cafeteria, but she kinda blew it there.]

[Colette did horribly - hideously, even, squeaking by with 11 coins and one star, which will net her a whooping 16 coins in the end. She's as bad at games as she is at puzzles.]

and okay, Aoi feels a little bad that Akiko got trounced, but it was really just a matter of luck (and her being an absolute beast at minigames), so it's not like there was much she could have done to focus her conquering skills on taking down Hershel instead.

Sitting pretty on six whole stars and 49 coins, she isn't about to gloat, but Aoi certainly looks pleased with herself as she exits the elevator to take a peek at the scoreboard and talk to the others.]

*He didn't do too badly in the game considering how many stars Calhoun milked from all of them. 7 coins and 4 stars. Or more like 12 coins and 3 stars. He's not sure what to do about his stars though. A point would be good but...he's dying to know more about himself.*

[ JAKE... came out of that kind of okay, actually! Sure, he was losing super hard at the beginning and he almost broke his controller (he threw it twice on the floor), but look at the score board, he's coming out with 5 whole stars! That's awesome! ]

[ ... Don't talk to him about those Coins, okay, he's not happy being poor with them. Just let him be happy about his Stars. ]

That didn't get so bad near the end.

CALHOUN'S CORNER - Sundries And Collectibles For Discerning Test Subjects

[ About ten minutes after everyone has been left out, the door from the hallway opens and... ]

Beep beep, coming through...!

[ ... Out comes Calhoun on an electronic scooter. Instead of pulling a stretcher behind him this time, he's now pulling... this thing? Of course, it doesn't have food in it, but it seems to have quite a few knickknacks. It's difficult to tell as he's driving, but he soon stops in the corner of the warehouse. He hops off his scooter and then climbs into the shop. With his short height, however, he has to jump to reach the counter, pull himself up, then crash onto the floor. He fumbles on the ground for a bit before he steps onto a foot stool, bringing himself to the same height as some of the characters, and opens up his arms. ]

I am now open to business!

[ Once approaching, characters will be able to see that he has all sort of knickknacks in the store. Books on the shelves behind him, clothes hanging from the ceiling, fencing swords propped on the wall, and multiple items littered on the counter. As for the top of the store? A large sign reads "CALHOUN'S CORNER", and underneath that, in smaller font reads "Sundries And Collectibles For Discerning Test Subjects". ]

Heeeeeey, Test Subjects!

Remember all those Coins and Stars you've won from me? Well, now is your chance to exchange them! Of course, Stars are pretty straight forward: you have 3 Stars, you can exchange them for either 1 BP, 1 memory, or 15 Coins. If you want that, come on up, and I'll change it for you.

But what can you do with those Coins, you ask? Well, you can use those to buy things in my new shop! I have quite the number of items as you can see, so come use those Coins to good use!

If you had one or two Stars that couldn't be used for BP or memories, I've already converted them to Coins for you because I'm a smart mouse - I think ahead! So hurry up, I have your money for you in these nice bags. I couldn't be bothered to track down much you have in my head or write it because I'm a busy host, so I've decided to just turn them into actual physical coins for you, so take the one with your name on it! That's how much you currently have.

[ 12 nice brown pouches sit on the counter, each with a name printed on them. Inside would the number of Coins you've ended the game with, and any one or two Stars cashed in. Each coin will be small and yellow. On one side, it will have Calhoun's beautiful face on them, and on the other, it will say 'CALHOUN'S CORNER'. ]

[Kariya's still buzzing with satisfaction over Calhoun's so impressive performance in their game, as he bounds up to pick out his coin-bag. He even flashes Calhoun a fangly grin, instead of his typical, half-horrified, half-exasperated glare.

But then he steps back to look over Ye Olde Calhoun Shoppe's selection, and his grin knocks down much closer to a glower.]

You only have that up there to be a jerk.

[He mutters, eyes batting over to that soccer ball and its impossible price point. Pretty much all he'd won were coins, and he still can't afford it!]

...Just give me my BP already.

[Well, this is a little... odd... but at least the coins were actually worth something after all, so he can't complain.]

Hmm... I'll take a toothbrush, toothpaste, a bar of soap, and a memory, please.

[Yeah, Calhoun can keep his overpriced pointy-stick thing Zelos knows what the real prize here is.]

[Zelos will saunter up, with the smirk still stuck on his face, and drop 60 coins on the cart. If he wasn't on the top of Calhoun's shit list before, he definitely was now.]

One BP! Oh, and a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo and a shower, please.

[Is Calhoun sick of seeing this face, yet?]

[After claiming his memory regain, Clive steps back into the lobby looking incredibly disappointed. He walks slowly towards the closest wall and slides down to the floor just as slowly, burying his face in his knees. This is true despair.]

[ LATER THAT NIGHT Jake has to go and change his bandages because wow, what'cha know, having two stab wounds next to each other can cause a decent amount of bleeding. He totally did not know that, shock, awe, but seriously, going to attempt to see if he can reuse this bedsheet bandaging. Maybe wash it and figure what he can do it with it. ]

[ Ask where he got that second stab wound, help him clean them, reuse bandages, wrap him up (because it's hard and awkward to do it with just one hand and your teeth), etc. ]

Meanwhile, Heiji was frantically looking through his pockets and assorted stuff -- even his hat, but to no avail. Whatever he was looking for, it was obvious that he wasn't finding it. And it had been a good twelve days since he'd woken up here.
